I'm excited. Never drag raced anything before, and going with several buddies that have decent cars. Its just a test and tune day, and all in the name of fun. I've got someone with a DSLR that's going to do a shoot when we meet up, then photos and video at the strip, so I'll try to get everything up here for you guys.
Its an 1/8th mile track, and a friend's S2000 (which will be there again, but not racing because of his clutch on the way out) ran an 8.80 before. I'm hoping for something like a 9.4 or below, which should have me running pretty even with another friend's fox-body 5.0 Mustang GT with a five speed and some engine work.
Cars expected to be there include my Si, a 6.0L GTO (he says he won't run it), a Monte Carlo SS with a bored out 350 and he's going to pull as much of the interior as he can, the S2000, Fox-body Mustang, and I think another friend is going to screw around in his Dakota. Also a V6 auto Camaro, as the owner's '77 Trans Am is being restored.
