i was just curious.. now, i know some of the gold licenses are a bit tough, but i think they should be required to get 100%... when i think of 100%, i think of everything in the game that can be beat, must be beat... i guess i just feel like it would be more rewarding if they were included in the 100%... thoughts?

damn ur pritty good, try the first s license and see if u get gold, i managed to after about 40mins.

btw have u got all gold in IA, i only need the last one, the stupid skyline is soooo annoying, im like 0.8 off gold.

62% in my second time of clocking the game. the first time i got 8 golds and i didnt even know that you could drive manual until i had finished the game, then my memory card wiped itself and i stole a game off a mate, he had all gold but 2 which were silver. but still, i mean, i havent tried to get gold on all them yet, the only one iver gone for gold and not achieved was with the damn skyline. god i hate that skyline.

I will also vote no...although i think Silver should be required as a "pass", and the should introduce a lower level than Bronze...to help beginner players feel more in the game.

I voted no 'cause else I would NEVER even get close to 100% :trouble: (So I still suck... Sue me)

I voted for no. The only gold I have was in the 1st license test. The one where you have to drive the Beetle in the 0-1000m stop at the Test Course. Heh.

Feel free to PM me and say I suck :D

I'm planning on getting all golds later , once I reach 75%. Just an aim I hope to achieve ( Hunting for 100% completion )

I HATED that test.... Did it before I switched to analog gas

I'll pass as I don't want my PM box filled up :D (I don't need ppl to tell me I suck.. I KNOW I do :D )

I personally don't care for gold licenses at all, but if that's what you want, by all means more power to you :D

For me the real fun of the game is in the 2 player game.

lol i have 2-3 golds, 1 is B1 and the others are rally. LOL 2 bronzes on S license. Cant get anything else in the time limit tho. I got the speedster one and the midfield. lol i hate license tests :banghead:

Nah. It's just bragging rights.

At this point, I'd like to add that I am a fully accredited GT3 Goldjunkie, with 48/48 Gold licences. :D

IMO the Gold times on GT3 are way easier than the previous games (and the golds on GT:C easier still). The only really tough ones are the classic Skyline/Trial Mountain section one, and the Camaro/Seattle hill one (can take HOURS alone... Still my best is 14.199, for a gold at 14.200).

Average time for gold is about 30 minutes.

I find a gold in a license test more satisfying than a race win... I can tune my car to give me an unfair advantage in a race but not in a test.

My answer is yes. If they are too hard then they should be adjusted but they should be in the 100%. Otherwise we only get 99% of the game done in my opinion.

but 100% means you have accomplished EVERYTHING in the game that can be... if you haven't gotten all the gold liscenses then you haven't done that... and i agree.. the gold liscenses (mainly the s licenses) are much more of an accomplishment than winning a race... anyone can get a fast car and beat a bunch of slower cars, but you are put on a course with a car to beat a challenging time and you can't modify the car what-so-ever.. i wont feel like i have accomplished 100% until i have completed all golds (almost there).. anyway, that's what i think...

wow, its 50/50.. A LOT more even than i expected... in the next gt, all of us who spend hours getting all golds should get a special reward... like a car of my choice will be delivered to my house :)

i think regardless....they should go back to what was done in GT2....the gold prize cars for each test should be cars that can ONLY be aquired in that way....in GT3 there's no real "reward" because if you wanted to you could just go grab the car somewhere else....GT2 had cars like the Spoon S2000 and the Del Sol LM that could ONLY be aquired through getting all golds....this played a huge role in my view

Yeah. I am surprised at how many people voted no.

I only have 4 gold license so far and my plan is to only get 8 anyway. I am ignoring the % complete. I may do the time trials at some stage. If I do them all then the game will say 100% even though there will be most of the licenses outstanding.

Since the mx5 from B license gold is the only unique car given as prizes and there is no extra % given I see no point in doing them. If you needed them to get 100% then I may do them. Especially if the 100% prize was unique. Unfortunately I already have all F1s so that is not worth getting either. And I have the Panoz so why do the time trials ?

I reckon give unique prizes for gold licenses and 100% and make the licenses form part of the 100%.

This is how it is done in GTC. You get one car for bronze and another for gold.

Each car you unlock in GTC can only be unlocked one way. With the key. LOL.

Seriously each race / license has one car that it unlocks. So you need to do everything to get all cars. Although Ace difficulty and the POD race is outside the 100% there.
