Gold Trohpy Question..??

Just cuious about the Gold Trophy times. I haven't even pulled out my DFGT for the rounds yet.., and just using a DS3 it has been very easy to gold all the events. Some I was beating the gold by several seconds.

Is the Gold Trophy time for each event considered a "good time", or is the bar set low in this area?

Essentially, if a driver gets the gold trophy time he is going to place in the mid range of times. The leaders are leading by thousandths of a second in most cases. Even people who are 1000-2000 range on the leaderboards are only down by a second.

I think I'm down only a tenth from the leader on one track and I'm in the 1500z :lol:

I pulled up my ranking on one of the Leaf tests so I could update my blog. Everyone around me had exactly the same time as me, we were all tied. :lol:

The bar is very low for most of them.

I really expect the bar to be very low throughout, PD and Nissan clearly want as many people participating as possible and It really wouldn't surprise me if it's easy enough for everyone to get through to 8-5 and then it's just a matter of who is quicket.

I think the bar will remain low for gold, just like you said, but as we get to the harder tests we will be talking about seconds behind the leader for some people, not thousandths or hundredths.
