Golding the IC-10 Licence test is harder than Vettel Challenge!

I think IC was the most challenging of the whole licenses, The only actual tests I remember giving me gray hairs were the cone slaloms and the final braking test in the rain with the Aston Martin. >_<

i have managed all licence golds with a DS3 and most times not just scraped through but with a good margin, they are entirely possible.

eiger nordwand grand tour on the other hand, still evades me, 1sec off gold, bah

Ive golded both vettel challenge and IC-10 with not too much issue.. my biggest problem would be Grand Tour, Eiger Nordwand and the Alfa. Just going mad. between 0.050 and 0.079 away constantly and ive played for hours umpteen times. I bet it ends up being the only thing between me and the Platinum.

The Eiger Nordwand Grand Tour took me a while to get. In the end, I couldn't even figure out how the driving in my gold run was better in comparison to the close but still unsuccessful runs prior. But I was stoked on the win none the less. Just keep at it, you'll get the winning run eventually.

The Eiger Grand Tour challenge, is a "tad" easier now with 1.06 / 1.07, using my G25 wheel, however, of the 100 or so runs I have given this test, the last 10 seconds atop the track are a mystery to me each time I approach, and realize, the proper way to "blast / drift" this section is what makes / breaks the Gold/Silver ==> Bronze, each and every time. unfortunately, we must drive 1:05s each time just to furiously figure out this end portion, and I feel it is never consistent up there... very unforgiving. I think I will retry this challenge with ABS set to 10. perhaps this is what it needs! Brake control through the corners!

Been doing the IC-10 Challenge for so long (over 300 attempts for gold) in Automatic transmission, but after I just had a go at Manual and finishing a lap, I'd immediately had control over my car and more room for errors and gotten gold first try.

Automatic is pretty slow compared to Manual in this challenge...

Go for the S class, you'll do it in, erm, approximately the time it takes to load each track and drive round it once...they're ridiculously easy compared to the I-class licences.

Damn, how right you were...

I could (and should) have completed the 60 golds a long time ago.

The cones slalom and the S-8 license(Suzuka with an Alfa 8c) were by far the hardest for me.

That was before the patch that eliminated DQ for collision.

s licenses were 1 shot golds fro the most part, the alfa 8c was a retry'er but only due to not being able to catch the front 2, and the ferrari 300 p4 round tokyo had me for a couple of nights but this was due to collisions, the front 3, XJ, mark IV and SL did not play fair.
I actually found the IA10 (i think) 2 lap battle the hardest, in the lambo round grand valley. There was a white lambo murc that would always just ram and DQ me if i got past him, usually round the bottom hairpin or the right angle left thereafter, he was such a sore loser, just like right youve passed me so im gonna disqualify you!

but i did these on ver 1.05 when it seems that it was at its hardest to do them, so now i should think they are a piece of cake if the collision has been taken away

Harder than the Vettel challange on Suzuka. No ****ing way!!! IC10 took me about an hour or so. The Gold Vettel? I lost count. It took like forever....

But I have to agree the car is nearly impossible to control....

Keep it up. 👍

I used a DS3 and got all 60 gold, wasent so easy but not hard either, I found this test not very hard and beat it on my 6th or 7th try, everything else was easy from here on, the only other one that gave me and trouble was the indy with the nissan... But the worst one for me by far was the 1000m stopping test, that one took me forever until I finally turned off ABS and gave it a go, I was off gold time by .001 2 or 3 times it was by far the most stupid and annoying test in the game hah

IC-10: ABS 10 should do the trick. I heard you can simply bulldoze your way through the AI cars now so it's already much easier than before.

Braking test with Aston Martin: Start off on 2nd gear. 👍

The Vettel Challenge is harder than Calculus III, Bio-chemistry, and Organic Chemistry combined.

I'd rather take those courses again, than torturing my thumbs again on my DS3.

My poor thumbs...

Err... no it isn't.
I managed to get gold on all license tests, yet cannot get bronze the X1 challenge on Nurb and Suzuka with my DS3

I can and have Golded All S-license challenges 50 times over and Vettel Silver, before I can gold this IC-10. I wish the 1st & 2nd AI weren't so far away, as of Patch 1.07.

I can catch up to 2nd place just after Lap 2 , past the Roman Collesseum, but I cannot for the life of me catch 1st from then on. I have grown to also despise this car in this event. It is nothing but a soap box that relies on drift to get you anywhere unsafely.

thanks, this and skid recovery on, and plow into every car, I hate this car and challenge with a passion.

I never got the courage to go and do the Vettel challenge. I just tried the X2010 there for curiosity but never even ended a full lap...

All this to say that you guys aren't helping my cause. :p

Found that 1 a hell of a lot easier than IB-3. Think i golded it on my 3rd attempt. DS3 everything off except abs.

Lol, golded both cone slaloms and IC-10 last night, thanks for the tips, everyone. IC-10, ABS 6+ AND Manual shift for the win.

Slalom, Mild steering (aid):On, and upshift from 3 to 5, then down to 4, flat out, wins gold every time now.

I golded IC-10 the other day. It had me for the longest time, and after giving up on it for a while, I tried it again. I noticed immediately that the DQ for bumping had changed. It still took me about an hour to gold it, but I think I made a clean run without bumping any of the cars. I ended up passing for the lead going into the tight right-hander before the back straight. As usual, once you're in the lead, it's easy to stay there. Needless to say, it was immensely satisfying to gold it. I use a DS3, and settings were ABS-1, and TC either 1 or 0.
