they don't need 200 acres, let em fork with a windmill for an hour.

I play a round of golf nearly every day! Of course, I live literally 100 ft. from my local country club, so it's right there and provides a fun way to get outside and enjoy the weather. Interesting thread idea, I'm curious to see how many other golfers are here. :)

Everytime I see a golf course, I think the same thing. "That would make an awesome shooting range."

There is a driving range about five minutes from my house that I've been to a few times. But, now I feel it would make a nice skeet, trap and sporting clays range.

I, perhaps, would love golf more if it involved firearms, I supppse. There is a golf club, a driver, that takes a pistol cartridge blank that shoots the ball, so that really old people can still play golf. Maybe I'll give it a 'shot.'

I play a fair share of golf, although I'm not very good for how much I play. I usually shoot in the 90's for 18 holes. What do you shoot, Jordan?

My 16 year old brother shoots in the 70's, it's frustrating to play with him, since he usually never beats me in anything.

I am also addicted to Tiger Woods 2004, quite possibly the best sports game of all time.

I'm typically somewhere between 80 and 85. Like you, I hate playing with someone that much better because it is so easy to get frustrated. Fortunately I have a lot of friends who are at my skill level so that really makes it a lot more fun, especially when you throw some money into the equation. :D

I do a little bit of "golfing". Well, only at the local driving range. I just love wacking the balls as far as I can with my new driver. Relieves lots of my stress :D Only problem is watching golf tournaments on tv/at the course. It's so damn boring.

I love golf. I'd love to play every day if I could. As it is now, I usually play once or twice on the weekends. I'm insane; I was out playing golf on December 26th. It was great because all the water hazards were frozen, and it was impossible to stick a tee into the frozen ground.

My last round was easily my best round. All my drives seemed to find the fairway, and I don't think I three-putted all round. I think I drained 3 birdie putts, and if it wasn't for 3 terrible holes, I could have shot 85.

It feels like I should be shooting in the high 70s/low 80s, though. I usually play with my cousin who can't drive the ball worth a damn, and almost all my drives find the fairway, yet we almost alway are within one stroke of each other at the end of the round. And my short game has improved enormously over my past couple rounds. My iron play just flat sucks.

I'm proud to say that I've improved over 30 shots since I started playing a couple years ago.

More and more I think I will eventually have to golf. I'm the only person I know who doesn't. But it looks so boring. I'd also rather spend that money on something else. Golf is expensive.

It isn't that expensive if you go to the right courses.

The course I frequent is just 22 bucks on the weekend. Where else can you spend 22 bucks for about 4 hours of enjoyment?

My clubs were only 200 bucks for an entire set.

I enjoy playing golf as well, but I haven't gone to a real course in quite a while. I normally just go to the local driving range to hit some balls, though I'm really itching to see how I do on a legitimate course.

I like playing golf. I'm not great with irons but I love woods. I don't have my own clubs so I only ever get to use irons:( (that's all they give you when you borrow clubs). But I enjoy it so that's good.

My dad and I usually play a round of golf then a couple of games of pool. He beats me at golf but I whoop him at pool:D

...haha i feel the exact same way...

I find Golf extremely boring. I've touched a golfclub once though...

Think it was W.C. Fields that said :
"Golf is a perfectley good way to spoil a nice walk"....

I golf, and I'm ok at it. I'll normally shoot in the low 90s or high 80s, but I'm almost always below 100. As for my best round ever though, it was a short 9 hole par 3 course, and I shot par for the course, 29! Everything was working that day, nearly all my tee shots hit the green or fairway, I chipped to hit the pin (but not sinking the ball) twice, and my putting was near perfect. Unfortunately, I have not been able to have a day like that since.

If I could go golfing more, I would, but everyone I go golfing with has been busy for the past month, and the weather has also been very poor around here.

It's not that expensive, other than if you buy one of those $1-3,000 Taylor-Made club sets. :scared:

That's darn good, I'm planning on getting a good set next year, right now, I have a set mainly consisting of $20-50 irons that I bought individually, and same goes with my drivers. 👍 Everything probably totaled cost me about $200-300 canadian.
