I'm sure this has been noted before but I'll say it anyway.
I saw "Gone in 60 seconds" for the first time tonight and noticed a few similarities between it and GTA games that are possible "homages" to the film.
1) Otto is the name of the chopshop mechanic played by Robert Duvall and "Otto's Autos" is the showroom that CJ and Cesar steal the cars from in a mission in San Andreas.
2) The plot of Gone in 60 seconds is all about delivering cars to a boat at the docks, just like the Import/Export crane in San Andreas and similar to the I/E garage in GTA3..
3) In Gone in 60 Seconds, the 50 cars are listed on a blackboard in chalk and as each one is delivered, it's marked off with a chalkline. In San Andreas, there's a blackboard at the docks with the cars needed and as they're delivered, they're struck through with a line just the same way.
4) There's a mission in GTA3 where someone needs a bunch of high performance cars delivered in a limited time for customer (the mission might be called Grand Theft Auto), which is the whole point behind Gone in 60 seconds.
I think I noticed a couple of other things while wathcing but I can't remember now.
