Good (and free) spyware deleter?

My computer suddenly had bugs in it today and it's starting to drive me insane. I've got all kinds up spyware crap I never downloaded pestering the crap out of me.

Anything good I get online to get these bugs out of my way?
 
I hear Windows Defender is ok too.

I run Avast! Home Edition for an antivirus and it has caught everything including spyware! Free too so that's a plus.

Then again... I'm on a Linux partition at the moment so wait while I sit back and laugh.

Strange really, so am I.

Very few Linux users, myself and yourself included, are Windows free and even a rarely used Windows partition can get clogged up with crap.

The best way of avoiding spyware (short of going Linux) is to avoid Limewire, Kazzaa, Bearshare and downloadable uber pr0n. However, now with Linux's ease of installation it makes sense to use a veersion of Linux for day to day activites.
