Good but free PC games?

I'm not sure if this topic has been made before or not. Forgive me if it has, because my brain ain't working too good at this time (03:24).

But i was wondering, do any of you know any free-downloadable PC games?e.g. Racer.

This could also include older games that have been offered up for free by the games publisher.

Share any you know of with us.

The only two i know of are:

GTA and GTA 2: Rockstar have offered them up for free on their website. Kind people :bowdown: (although i can't get them to work on my PC, yet GTA SA works fine)

Racer: free downloadable Racing/Driving game which you can download a load of cars and tracks for. :)

the demo for www.liveforspeed.net is multiplayer and gives you 1 track (forwards reverse and carpark) as well as 3 cars.

Not really a free PC game..Thats like saying, "Try the TOCA race driver 3 demo, you get a few cars and tracks to try!"

BVE, free Train Simulator with tonnes of routes and trains for it (including the london underground). Nice 3D graphics too.
 
Warrock is a good one. It's similar to Battlefield 2 Modern Wafare; and there are many maps and plenty of people online.

Home of the Underdogs has all sorts of old, underrated PC games available for download. Technically it's abandonware, which is illegal, but they only offer games that are no longer sold by the publisher, and will remove a game if the publisher requests it.

I imagine GTP's AUP forbids me from posting a link to the website, but googling the name will get you there easily enough.
