Hi all, I am stumped.. I'm on the seasonal event and trying to win the last race which is nurburgring track.

I need your help..

1. What is the best car to win this race?

2. Do you have a good tune set up?

3. What Aids should be on? Eg ASM, TC, ABS and what settings etc.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Easiest is the Formula Gran Turismo tuned down to 750PP. Power 50%, min downforce, add weight to reach 750.

I did these races in the Vertigo, but I don't recommend that car unless you're looking for a challenge.

For a car that's easy to drive fast at the ring I like the V12 LMR. And it's got a good cockpit view. :)

The ring is all about knowing the track. You'll find it takes a few hours on it to get comfortable.

In terms of fundamental pace, the Minolta would be good, with the added benefit its a prize car. Set the downforce to maximum and look for a grid with a toyota 7 at the front, which backs the quicker cars up. ABS on 1 and no traction control is best, top speed 240ish. For more detail i suggest you do a search, iv'e definitely seen a thread on this in the seasonal forum before :)

A downtuned FGT is easily your best bet. But you need to have a good lead going into the long straight near the end of the lap. With the power reduction and the extra weight, you will struggle to get much past 180-190mph out of it without slipstreaming. While your rivals will be 30-40mph faster down the long straight. I went into the straight with an 8 second lead, and only won by less than a second. But the better acceleration and handling should see you through.

I used the merc sauber c9. Took a few tries, but it's doable. I used a tune from this site and tweaked it. The biggest part was taking it easy on the gas coming out of corners.

Engine tuned toyota gt-one - now in the OCD - on RS and with praiano's (sp?) tune, easy peasy :)

Most of the opponent cars ahead of the Citroen GT can normally win this event - having said that, the Oreca Viper can win this too.

Apart from a good set up like the ones above, the trick is to drive smooth, overtake cleanly (because this is basically a time trial with mobile chicanes) and don't have any (or too many) offs. And remember the licence training for tight corners - slow in - fast out. Knowing your breaking points is crucial. Good luck:tup:

I've done only this race with a 700PP mazda 787B (RM tyres) setting by Praiano!

Hi all thanks for your help.

I can tell you all I won the race by over 2 minutes ahead of the competition.

Car I used was the Toyota minolta race car, I reset the whole cars settings and left it standard, the only thing I adjusted was transmission I set to 410kmph.

With driving aids I may have had a little too much help but hey at least I won the race ;-)

I had traction control on 2, abs 2, ASM was 1, the rest was off, I had soft tyres all round.

Push hard right from the start, by the 4th minute into the race you should be in around 4th place then a few straights and your in first place and it's all smooth sailing from there.

Trust me I've Done it over and over agin to get more money and XP points and 1st place every time .

Hope this helps good luck and appreciate your feedback :-)

"I can tell you all I won the race by over 2 minutes ahead of the competition."

Surely you mean 2 seconds! 2 minutes would be impossible:)
