One of my main beefs with this otherwise beautiful game, is that it is hard to tell how your car will do against the competition until you try racing it. You either kill the competition (boring 
) or get killed (aggravating 
). So, what cars do you suggest for a challenging race (or series)?
My favorite race is using a fully modded Suzuki Concept GSX-4 in the Japanese GT Championship. 👍
This little go-kart looking thing tops out at 275 hp, but it is so light that (with my current tune) it can top 160 mph (180 w/ nitrous)!
It basically handles and sounds like a mini-f1, and will give the JGTC race cars a serious run for their money. In it you will out-corner them, but it has slower top-end speed. When a car is on your ass for the entire race, for me it is quite entertaining. Looking at the replay is also fun, when you see what looks like a soap-box racer leading a bunch of mean-looking race machines! 
I was able to win all of the races except the 2nd one in the series, b/c my tires wore out on the last lap.
Be warned, though, this is a very tight race since any mistake on your part and usually the 2nd place car will blow past you. It's a blast if you like a challenge.
