Hey all, many players like myself are looking for some good, clean, close MATURE racing action. But keep running into time zone conflicts with many of the existing leagues. This thread is in search of an existing league or to gain interest in starting a United States Time Zone based racing league to fill this void.
a shame to have to mention this, but with the online racing the way it is, i feel i must make it a point to define what is meant when stating "MATURE racing"
a bit about preferred mature driving/racing ethics:
- all players make every reasonable attempt to remain on the acceptable racing surface (defined by the painted lines that outline the pavement, as well as any connected curbing or rumble strips)
- when a player leaves the defined racing surface (no matter the cause) they forfeit right to track space until they can rejoin the racing surface without interfering with the cars that are "on track", they may NOT maintain speed, advance position or gain advantage in any way while "off track".
- players make every reasonable attempt to maintain racing pace.
- Stopping on the racing surface is not allowed, except in the event a cars immediate path is obstructed by a racing incident.
- Driving erratically or slowly is not acceptable.
- Driving in the opposite direction as race traffic is unacceptable with the exception of getting turned around after an incident.
-Drivers should make every reasonable attempt to avoid contact with other cars and stationary objects like walls and barriers.
- If contact is made, a driver may not advance position or gain advantage in any way. (Inconsequential or minor contact may be acceptable to a very small degree)
- overly aggressive driving (Ramming, cutting any corners, excessive swerving, etc) is unacceptable.
-The leading driver has the right to choose their racing line, but must stay committed to it. Leading drivers can make one move after exiting a corner, and can make one move to setup for the braking zone (Deliberate blocking is unacceptable)
-A following car has the right to make a reasonable passing attempt. (Deliberate blocking is unacceptable)
- the instant there is any overlap between two or more cars, Players should respect another car's right to a lane worth of track space (This includes at the turn in points, and the duration of any and all corners)
- Stopping on the side of the track should only be done in case of real life interruption or equipment failure. All other stops for all other reasons should be done in the pits.
- When pitting, players should use the proper pit entry path and pit exit lanes, and make every attempt to keep all 4 wheels inside the lines that define those pits lanes.
- If a player passes the beginning of the pit entry lane (I.E. player must cross a solid white line to enter the pits) they have forfeited the ability to enter pit lane on that lap.
- A car leaving the pits has full rights to the pit exit blend lane. Drivers should yield that portion of the track, up until the end of the blend lane when exiting pit traffic is present (I.E. no player should drive over a solid white line)
Well, enough about that. if anyone is currently affiliated with a league compatible with US-CST and supports the same "Driving/Racing Ethics" stated above, please reply with a link where information regarding the league can be found.
If anyone is seriously interested in participating in a league fitting this description or Starting a league based on the above "Driving/Racing Ethics" post your comments and suggestions here, and hopefully we can get some players together who enjoy racing with the proper rules and regulations.
i (and many others) just want to race, and it is VERY irritating to join a lobby where everyone is cutting corners, pushing and slamming for positions, etc, etc... We just want to enjoy some good, clean racing fun
I personally prefer to race sport tires (street cars-Hard, race cars-Soft) with varying performance points, tracks, and laps; Im not very interested in driving the same 500pp car class over and over and over and over... BORING! change it up!
