Good Old Online Days...

I've decided to not to race online until I complate all events in gold because I played a lot japanese prologue version in online and I want to enjoy new pal version's events. Today I complated all events then I tried a few online attempts. Results are totally mess.

First I wanted to do a few hotlop in High Speed Ring in pro mode with GT-R. I did a clean lap with no touching anywhere. my time was 1:13.xx and I saw I'm ranked 400th. I've thought there should be good drivers.Then I checked the ranking list and I watched the leader's replay. OMG he touched to walls 3 times and make a fast turn then I checked other people's replay in top 10 and they are doing the same cheat. and I'm very sure people in top 100 are doing same tricks. I may understand if it was happening in standart (arcade) mod time trials but this is in pro mod. what kind of people are they who wants to show how they are cheating to the world.

Secondly I tried a few online race with GT40. I raced in pro daytona speedway and pro suzuka. Everybody is racing with tuned lotus.It was a lotus event lol. And most of them were crashing to other drivers.Japanese online wasnt so perfect but not that bad at all.

I already missed japanese prologue online days. It seems professionalism has lost its meaning in pal version and it will continue to losing it with upcoming NA version. PD must to do something to correct this. They should watch people's hotlaps and try to see where the penalty system doesnt work actually.And of course this beatiful game really needs private lobbys!

Private lobbies and a friends list that will allow you to invite those from GTP to your race would solve all of that except for the time trials.

IMO trying to rank high in time trial in GT5P is like trying to rank high in Madden, the only way to do it is to be a cheater/glitcher
 
If you want to rank, go to 650 points Susuka (Pro). No cheaters there.

I think that high speed ring track is open to cheating because if you hit and turn you'll do fastest lap but if you do same cheats in london track you cant do a fast hotlap.high speed ring is nice track but wall impact penalty should be increased asap.

I love High Speed Ring but ANY form of contact with a wall should negate a lap.

i agree on the hsr being a open to cheat track...don"t understand why pd didnt make the penalty's on tt much much more punishing!!...on a tt ALL touches with walls/barriers /grass(more than 2 wheels off track)etc etc,just should have been 10seconds penalty allready!!!:ouch:

but,knowing pd is watching this very site makes me have good hopes for a change of this issue in the future:):)
