I had to learn to distinguish between the Japanese characters for Suzuka and London. Suzuka's first characters look like two people walking together and London starts with a box looking character.

I loved my JPN copy of GT5P but I'm so happy to say goodbye to translating Japanese text and hello English! :D

Are you guys going to re-earn your cars or are you going to use a save game? I'm not sure yet. Had to work pretty hard for some of those cars.

I had a bit of this "shock" when firing up GT:HD a day or so ago. The menu system is very similar to Prologue... but the English looked almost out of place, LOL. One thing that is kind of neat is that if you're playing the JPN version of Prologue the Japanese characters appear above your name to your friends when they look at their buddy list.

I'm still unclear as to whether the JPN save will transfer over, but I'll probably start from scratch with a separate save (if possible) and keep the JPN version active for hot-lapping on the arcade leaderboards since they're global. The US version will be for online racing with NA friends.

As far as i know the JPN save doesn't transfer over, it didn't on mine (Pal Aus Version).
You can have a seperate save. Create a new user account when you start up PS3.
