I don't think this warning is fake malware but here goes.

I use Google chrome as a browser and was going to view the Daily Babe Thread and the following message appeared.

Warning: This site may harm your computer!

The website at www.gtplanet.net contains elements from the site *link removed*, which appears to host malware software that can hurt your computer or otherwise operate without your consent.
Just visiting a site that contains malware can infect your computer.

For detailed information about the problems with these elements visit Google Safe Browsing diagnostic page for *link removed*.

I use NOD32 antivirus system.
I thought I would give a heads up for those who view that thread and maybe someone could remove the photo(s).
I last visited it yesterday afternoon around 6PM EST..?? No warning at that time.

Another question unrelated.
Why can't I move highlighted text in a post?
I have to copy/paste and then delete the original text.
Could it be the Google chrome?
I thought I had no problem before a couple weeks ago, being that this computer was not running for about 6 weeks due to a bad power cord.

Someone hotlinked an image from a site that's been classified as dangerous by Google, that's all.

On the other hand, Keef did say his dad got a Virus from watching pron off a bad site :dunce:

From,
Chris.

Just moved your post to its own thread here. I found the image that was causing the message error message. As WallRunner already pointed out, a post in the thread was hot-linking an image from that site's server, and Chrome was just giving you a heads-up. Images are safe, however, and your computer was never at risk.

I'm not sure I understand what you mean by "moving" highlighted text?

I think he means when creating posts, similar to Microsoft Word where you can highlight text and then drag it to a new position.

Thanks and I wanted to alert anyones computer that may be at risk.
I hope the website name was not too offensive.
Should I/we PM you or a moderator in the future in reference to such a website name?

While making posts I may decide to move text and I can not do that.
I left click to highlight text to move/drag it in the post and I get a circle with a slash indicating that option is not available.
I have to copy/paste the text to move them around and then delete the original text.

I have experimented since my post and it seems to be an issue with the Google Chrome browser.
I can left click to highlight text then move it with Mozilla's Firefox browser though.
It is not really a hassle as I choose to use Chrome versus Firefox, so it's my problem for using Chrome.
I don't know why Chrome has an issue with it but I had to ask.

Did I explain it correctly?

EDIT: Yes like Coxis explained also.

Yes, please do. The link pointed to a site with a lot of inappropriate content which is a violation of the AUP. It clearly wasn't intentional here, though, so I just removed it from your post.

Yes, I understand what you mean now. It appears Chrome handles all text that way. I'm not sure why Google made that design choice, but there's no way around it.
