Have you checked out Google Map's street view lately? Not too long ago, you could see snap shots of street views. Well, Google has been busy apparently. Last year I saw a white Google car with a circular dish on it's roof. Apparently it was taking panoramic, 360 degree shots of the streets. You can now take a virtual tour of many streets across the world. I was quite surprised to see my house and to be able to scroll in a 360 degree circle on my street. All compliments of Google. If you haven't checked it out, try it. You might just find yourself washing your car or mowing your lawn.

Yeah, Google has Streetviewed acres of unbuilt subdivision roads in Florida, but they've somehow passed my neighborhood by, even though they did everywhere else in my town.

I find even looking it up pointless, they seem to pick and choose only popular areas, they seem to have missed Glasgow in and around it quite well. I find it pointless looking for anywhere in Scotland - it must be a very unimportant place on earth.

Even google satelite maps still have my old wooden garage outside my house which i personally demolished about 6 or 7 years ago. Great technology - 6 year old + images :S

I don't know how they pick what streets to go to and what streets to leave out. I was surprised to see my street while other streets that are more common in town were left out. I imagine it's a huge undertaking to map the entire world, so don't take it personally. :D

Check out this thread: https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=95297 ;)

I totally love Street View - Glasgow is well covered enough for me, and Edinburgh too... although granted it might take a bit of time to reach the sticks... it's great being able to 'walk' around Sydney and San Francisco again, brings back alot of memories. I am planning to 'explore' New York before I actually go there too. London is also ace... I'd like to do a thread like this one but for Street View: https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=95328 - where folks can show us their walk to work, or their favourite pub crawls etc. :D

I try not to :D

Its just annoying when other people have the luxury for free ! I feel deprived :dopey:
