I bought my 1994 R33 series1 GTS25t about a week ago, and basically just got it 2 or 3 days ago.
damn this thing goes hard even in stock condition. i'll post some pics of it up soon, but it's gun-metal gray with the same colored 16" rims. nismo 400R rear bumper, some aftermarket front bar, and gtr side skirts. that's about the only mods i know of.

i dont know any skyline owners personally, so i'll some questions here.
when i go over a bump, i hear a slight, softish hiss from the suspension (sounds pretty cool), but is that normal? if not, would it be an aftermarket suspension or is something wrong?
i'll post some pics of the car once i get a chance

Congrats, Yes they go hard even stock, small mods make a big difference aswell.

I dont notice any hiss when I go over bumps. The hiss may be from your shocks, maybe they are aftermarket.

Look forward to pics. (My pics link is in my sig if you havent noticed)

how much mileage do u get? i'm getting crappy mileage so far. this is the second tank of fuel in 5 days. atm it's below half tank, and i've only driven ~221km's. Is that normal? I give it a bit about once a day since i filled up last, but on the way to work i keep it below 3000rpm. I've also been filling up with BP Ultimate (expensive 98RON fuel) :o

Yeah, I get about 400-440 km's per tank using 98RON.

They arnt as good as you would think on fuel for a 2.5L engine, but the performance makes up for it :)

Man, you guys are so lucky! You get Skylines, great weather, beautiful scenery, Kylie Minogue, etc. I live in the U.S. and I'd kill for an affordable used Skylines(V35 don't count). How much horsepower does the 2.5 produce? Oh, and congratulations Rukus!

Stock they have about 255hp, but with small mods like cold air intake, exhaust and upted boost they produce well over 300hp.

Good to see some Aussies, Id love a Mines skyline one day :sly:

Congrats on your skyline mate :)

thanks guys :D

a6m5, i wouldnt mind a V35 coupe, but we dont get them here unfortunately. seen some pics of some NICE looking V35 coupes.

ye 400 - 440 isnt much on a full tank. atm mine's done just over 270kms, and it's less than the second last line.. guage drops about a mm every time i drive it :o

also, what's the oil pressure guage meant to read during normal driving?

255horsepower is a lot. You're probably having loads of fun with all that power.

Yeah, V35s are very nice, but doesn't really have that "Skyline" look to them. I see bunch of the V35s everyday and they definitely are one of the nicest looking cars, but I'd trade them for R32-34. :D

The fuel gauge on R33's seem to move fast intill it gets to the bar before empty then it stays around there for awhile, you can also drive it on empty for quite along time before the fuel light comes on.

At cold start up the oil pressure sits halfway between 4 kg/cm2 and the next bar on idle, after its warm it idle abit below 4.

Yes lots of fun :D

at the moment im barely getting 7km's per litre.. that's absolutely shocking..
this was just driving to work and back which means i'd shift quite quickly and not rev it much at all. just not happy at all with the economy of the car.

fun to drive, but im paying like $60 a week to drive it just to and from work.. :|

In the first few weeks I owned mine I spent hundreds of dollars on fuel, I wouldnt recommend it as a car to go to work and back, thats why ive got an old Mazda 323 aswell.

7km's per litre? Thats worse the normal.

Yes, if you own a Skyline you have to be prepared to pay for petrol more often than most other cars. :) It's worth it though.

My liner isn't running that well (still goes though) because it needs a tune up. But it drinks about half a tank every 200 km's. :)

Was driving all over the South Island one day in January this year and after more than ten hours of me hooning around i had a petrol bill on the wrong side of $90. Was worth it though as i saw some beautiful scenery.
