No they only lose their shine. Probably a pretty easy thing to program too. "carshine: less10%"

When fully dulled they still reflect stuff but its hardly noticeable.

Cars in GT3 only get dull. I always thought that was kind of stupid, but wanted to do somthing to the car to make the auto wash viable to the game.

In GT4, I think there might be a good chance of real car filth. Tire build-up, dirt from rally races, etc...

yeah racing the escudo in swiss alps would BURY the car, and its still pretty much the same. btw, a "reflex purple" speed 6 seems to shine and shine for a very long time after washing.

Well....I don't know if this is really changing color...but......I took one of those "reflex spice" (the orange one) Tuscan Speed 6's to the Tuscan challenge, and it was brown at the end. No more reflex....just cinnamon color.

changing your oil adds HP. I dont know if car washing does anything but shine it up.

I'd like to take a a pair of identical cars, one completely 'dirty' and the other nice and washed, then try them (with automatic transmission) on the 400 or 1000 meter test to see what the time difference would be, should there be any at all.

If that's the case then my 100% dirty, dark blue RUF CTR2 will get an even faster time in the 400m. It already does 0:08.986 without TCS...

I'm not sure that 400 or even 1000 meters would be enough to show much difference. The max speed test might, though.
