With Rallycross added this year and its association with the legendary Giles Villenueve, would be a great addition.

The Circuit Trois-Rivières is a street circuit located in Trois-Rivières, Quebec, Canada and has been the home of the annual Grand Prix de Trois-Rivières since 1967. Throughout its history the circuit has hosted numerous major North American racing series including the American Le Mans Series, the Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series, the Trans-Am Series, Can-Am, Indy Lights and Formula Atlantic.

The GP3R circuit is located on the Terrain de l'Exposition (fairgrounds) and is unusual in that it passes through Porte Duplessis, the narrow concrete gateway of the grounds at turn 3.

The Grand Prix has been headlined by the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series since 2007, and from 2014 is joined by the FIA World Rallycross Championship and its inaugural World RX of Canada race.

Giles Villenueve

In 1973, the first appearance of Giles Villenueve ended with a victory from start to finish in the Formula Ford 1600 race. The 1976 Formula Atlantic race would see Gilles Villeneuve take one of the greatest victories of his career by winning in front of the big names of racing at the time.

Legend has it that on his return to England, F1 World champion that year, James Hunt strongly recommended to his boss at McLaren that he give Giles a try out, which would happen at the Grand Prix of Great Britain in 1977 and thus began Villeneuve's distinguished career in F1.
