As far as I understand, these "Unicorn" cars (I use that term, due to the fact they aren't "normally" obtainable) are Homologated, based on their GR.3/B counterparts.

Ya'll think we'll see Road car variants of the Jaguar, M6, NSX, and such further down the line?

As far as I know, most are just road cars with body kits, but for the case of the RCZ, it's power plant becomes midship.

I like the idea of seeing more road cars down the line, hopefully completely transformed, like the RCZ.

My understanding of this is...

GR means GT, so Gr.4 cars are GT4 spec, and Gr.3 cars are GT3 spec. This doesn't hold true though for Gr.1, as it is not GT1.

GT4 is closer to road, with GT3 being more specialised. A lot of the Gr.# cars are made up, but look convincing enough.

and Gr.B cars are (in my opinion) a modern day view on Group B Rally. Or even RallyCross.

I think we will see a lot more cars in the future, including road cars. The future of GT Sport will rely heavily on game updates for additional content. In the end, we are supposed to see over 450 cars total. But only time will tell if the Jag, M6 and NSX road cars will be included. Gran Turismo has always given a slight preference/extra homage to Japanese cars, and I would be very surprised if an NSX road car was not on the final list.
