I've been enjoying the GR.4 class quite a bit and I'd love to make my 458 Italia competitive but I don't think that's going to happen. I sold out and got a GTR like everyone else and am running a lot better now. I'm in B driver rating and consistently running in the low 1:44s to the occasional high 1:43s around Kyoto. I suck at qualifying with a time of 1:44.29 but I can usually keep pace and pass people who set much faster times qualifying. I don't really know how the tuning works yet but I'll get there and so far I've only messed with sway bars, camber, toe and downforce trying to get rid of all the understeer in the gtr but I feel I've gotten to the extreme at this point. F sway at 3 and rear to 9, -3.3 degrees camber front and -2.6 rear, 0.25 toe out front and 0.05 toe in rear and full downforce up front and minimum on the rear. It works but I know it can be a lot better. Does anyone have any pointers on the GTR? I'm terrible with ride height, compression, lsd settings and stuff like that. I just played with the things I do to my race car. Any help is appreciated.

The Minkihl setup is pretty good, I managed to get my best lap to 1:43.4 with lots of room for improvement but it's a PITA to do all that shifting in a race and I make mistakes because of it. Having a slightly less demanding transmission would be nice, I'm also on the rev limiter at the fastest part of the track. I'll keep working on it to make it my own and report back. I'm still a newb to GT and driving "simulators" in general but I'm getting there. I'm still much more comfortable in my own car.

Just try moving the Top Speed up a notch on the transmission then test again. If you're still near redline on the fastest section, go up another notch.

I haven't spent too much time on my GTR yet, but when I do I can post up my settings.

the 458 italia gr4 is not that great (for me). i tried, but also ended up dropping the car and changing. cutted 2s/3s a lap almost instantly

the GTR is an easy pick because of the AWD setup, if you want to be something other than a GTR sheeple, try the Mazda Atenza or even the EVO those are all good easy cars to drive quickly. The 458 Italia requires a bit more skill to drive and a lot of testing, tuning and patience. On Dragons tail, i am running a 1:35 - 1:39 depending on my mood and skill set that day.

I would suggest googling real world set ups for the car and apply them in the game. GT is an accurat SIM and that's what works for me. Been doing that since GT3, works like a charm and I dominate Sport races when they allow tuning

Is there a specific site or do you just google make/model of car, race set up?
