I have been playing Ratchet and Clank 1,2,3 HD reboot, seen Devil May Cry reboot etc and was wondering if PD did a similar concept maybe not will all games but with 3 & 4, would it be a seller?
Would you buy it?

Thoughts?

So a remake of GT4 in HD.

It may sell.

Heck if Squaresoft redid FFIX in HD I would get it.

I wouldn't mind it. I really miss being able to play GT4 since my disc went to hell and I get the red loading icon every time I play.

As someone who hasn't played any of the previous GTs, I'd love that, and almost certainly buy it.

I wonder if it would be easier to just release an update for GT5 with a huge number of events rather than porting 2-4 games in HD, but I probably would buy that, especially if all of the games were updated to work with current wheels...

Re-releasing the old games could be problematic due to licensing. Content they no longer have licensed, such as car models and music, may have to be removed or re-licensed (which could be expensive). I'm not even sure if their licenses for GT5 would cover such a thing.

I never played GT4, so it would be interesting for me. I hear there are some really great tracks I've been missing out on.

This. Cars and whatnot need to be relicenced on a per-game basis (which is why several cars have gone missing since GT3, not returning for GT5 even as others have), and the licences for some cars (particularly some of the ones in GT2) are likely impossible to reacquire.

It's a fun idea, and one that I would happily pay for for GT2, but it won't happen.

I would defiantly buy any of the past GT's in HD. I've played all of them from GT (1). If you ignore the graphical side of things, GT2 was the best game, and would happily pay about £20 for a HD version of that, I still have all 4 of them somewhere. Hmmmmmmm gotta go find them now!
