R: Racing Evolution

It won't be as deep (it's an arcade racer) as my favorite series and most anticipated racer, Gran Turismo 4, but I'm a big racing genre fan, so I'm excited about it. The more, the better I guess. But the bad news, well for me anyway, is that I'm leaving this fall to become a Marine. So all I can hope for is I'd be back before release date.

Graphics don't count for much if the rest of the game isn't up to par.

Heh, thats rich comming from the guy who wrote an PD arse licking review of GT3.

Although i'm shocked that it's bloody ridge racer!
I thought they would never use real licenced cars, but knowing namco the handling wont be realistic and mainly drift friendly.

Bah, I think they overcomplicated the ridge racer series since R4, they should have stuck to the simple arcade formula that all the first 3 games were about.

Oh and by the way that is not competition for GT4, mainly because it's an arcade style racer, wheras GT4 will be a simulation (or more realistic than ridge racer anyway).

Bah bah beh bah beh.

Just because its an arcade racer dosent mean its not competition.
Need for speed: Hot Pursuit 2 was said by some to be the best racer on the PS2, and that was an arcade racer. Just because i wrote a review on GT3 doesnt mean i should say it has no competition.

What I meant was that you wrote a review about GT3, saying how perfect GT3 was in every single way (even though it isn't).

So I know, lets compare 2 racers (as you put it), Need for speed and GP4, oh yes they are so simmilar. One is based on made up physics and made for the sake of a quick fun blast which has very little do do with real world driving. Wheras GP4 is based on a real race series, with a physics engine that has been devised to handle as realistically as possible.

A simulation game is not the same as an arcade style game.
