Gran Turismo 4 Prologue cover art variations

[marcelo_hwo]

Hi everyone, I'm new here and didn't found another thread about cover arts of GT4P so I started this one. This week I bought online and received my copy of Gran Turismo 4 Prologue with metalized/holographic cover and BMW McLaren F1 GTR Long Tail in the back. I did some Internet and AI searches and only found listings of the same variation, but not exact informations about this cover and where/how it was distributed. The product code is the same as standard versions of GT4P (SCPS 15055), so I assume the archives in the disc are exactly the same as the ones contained in regular GT4Ps. The disc art are the same as in my other GT4Ps (regular and Racing Pack). Another thing that caught my attention is the small text "NOT FOR SALE" and not the regular "NOT FOR RESALE", which is common to bundle/pack games, maybe it was distributed for free in some public or private event in Japan and never sold on stores.

That's a really interesting variation, almost certainly a promo or event version. Personally I've never seen it before but maybe some others here have and can shed some light on it. I had the 'Asia' version back in the day (SCAJ 20066) which had the same disc and manuals.
