Quote: from GamingMaster321 on 6:40 pm on July 23, 2001[br]Hey there is going to be grand turismo 4.. It's real name will be Grand Turismo 4:The real driving simulator. Juat wanted to tell you.
Where'd you get this info?

Here's some interesting GT4 news . . .
A few months ago, EGM's Quarterman (who's news is often right but sometimes wrong) reported that the next GT game will feature online play as well as online car purchasing! The plan, according to Quarterman, was for the GT4 team to release a base number of cars with the game (ie on the disc), and have a central server online where they can upload extra cars as they are completed. Presumably, doing so will necessitate the purchase of the PS2 harddrive. Theoretically, this will enable them to make any car ever made available to gamers (within liscencing restrictions, of course). Sounds pretty damn cool to me, but perhaps too good (and ambitious) to be true.

Is there any web sites or does anyone know any info on the US hard drive. When is it coming out? I beleive it will cost over 100 from looking at playstation.com in jappanese version and converting yen to us money.

I guess there's no chance that GT4 will come out on XboX ?? I hate to think that I'll buy a harddrive and network card only for GranTurismo while I will allready have those things in my XboX.

Blah, I hate not having enough money to buy everything !!!

Also, I read in a magazine also that the graphics in GT3 are not Top of the Bill and that the PS2 can do much better ... Does anybody have any idea what can be improved on the graphics in that game ?? I'm playin GT3 for a week now and I'm still amazed by the goodlooks!!!!!

The PS2 HDD comes out in about November in the US, and will cost $200!!! The network card for the internet will cost $40!
It comes out in the UK in February 2002, will cost £200, and the network card will be £40.

That big 200 you say dosnt sound right saying x box will have one already in it for 300 and put the ps2 stuff together its 500 and i think thas crazy

Errr... pardon?

What do you mean, X-box will have one already in it, they do already have a HDD in them now and they only cost around £100 ($140-$160). If Sony charge £200 for a HDD they are ripping people off, a 60 gig HDD is worth about £60.

I love it when people resurrect old threads and then someone else has a go at someone for wrong information... even though what they said was perfectly true... 3 years ago!!!

Man... what the hell is going on. We need to bump butch back down, bad butch.

Never saw Dawn of the Dead until now.

Grrrrr.........I h8 it when this happens. Y aren't these older threads removed from the forum or at least locked away.

Cheers

His post was in 2001, I didn't notice that, when I saw this thread I clicked on new posts and his post was right there.

Damn...is it just me, or did GT3 come out AFTER THIS THREAD WAS STARTED?

That's how f•cking old this thread is. Older than GT3.

I propose we instate a rule that says anyone who resurrects a topic older than 1 year gets banned.

I propose we instate a rule that says anyone who resurrects a topic older than 1 year, just to say "hihihi :dunce:" gets banned.

Much better.

You're not the only one...

I resurrected a thread from a year ago in "Questions and Comments" asking about how long is an acceptable time to resurrect a thread...

Then the next poster (Cosmic I think!) had a swipe at the post above me which was a year minus a day old!!!

Oh god don't tell me this sort of thing (very old topic revival) is *still* going on. I complained about this in the Rumble Strip (i always think 'Rumple Strip' :() either last year or the year before.

Seriously uncool man.
