Define "Anyone who sucks"
As in trolls, or do you also weed out people who are "rookie" drifters and are learning?

I dotn mind rookies, anywhere anytime. i mind the people that brake-check for fun, and others that dont know where to brake, 3 laps in a row. Once no problem... twice: Dude, watch the braking. 3 times: Im out or he is. That happened on american/european servers.

Only downside i find, is the japanese guys mostly push it, even drifting with rookies. (Not that im one, but saw it happen a couple of times).
 
I go only to Japanese lobbys after reading this thread 2 days ago.
 
I'll have to remember this. Most of the time I join friends, or join the Team Yellow drift room. There's normally 3 or more good drifters in there.
 
...OK, I have yet to join any public drift lobbies (still a newbie m'self), but: who the h3ll tries taking the X1 out to drift??? :confused:
 
I personally like going into drifting lobbys with other UK players but the japanese ones are good (:
 
i realized why i never saw japanese rooms, my region was always set at US, oops.

just entered some servers in japan, they are definitely beasting all over the place holy crap.

That's why most of the time I try not to even bother with America/etc servers. There's a different frame of mind going on most of the time between the two, just like sai said there's a common courtesy in japanese servers, and a general appreciation/respect for each driver and the cars.

Now that's not to say that every japanese driver is a pro, because they aren't, but they are definately more modest and humble about their driving. And if they're driving well, they don't need a room name to make it apparent.

Alot of people should take note.. or at least I hope so.

My very first drift session was on Fuji GT doing D1GP runs and everyone was extremely respectful, and actually was possessing some fluidity and skill. Not to say America does not have a true understanding or appreciation for the sport of drifting, or the culture, but in all honesty it is lacking in the general public. Too many people only know drifting as Formula Drift. Which has a emphasis on speed where as in D1GP it is based on control.

So due to these rough facts/close to facts, Japanese drifting rooms plaining have respect and appreciation for drifting. If you want a great drift session consistently, without any unnecessary disturbances about the regulations etc. Japanese rooms is where you ought to be.
