I just looked at my 787B. Purchased it new. Rebuilt it at 4,975.5 km, and have 5,325.9 km on it now. Switched 82 time with 79 wins. Of course, it doesn't count consecutive wins when you play the same track over and over. Mostly A-Spec miles on Nurnburgring. I use the 2J for easy B-Spec wins as those drivers even at level 38 to 40 are pathetic. It does no good, but I call them names for their stupid s4it. I've been using the Special Events B-Spec #3, race 3, for B-Spec wins while doing other things with the 2J. That's 519,900 x 2 credits per win, but takes about 20 minutes a race. For me, the 2J is a cheat car. The real 2J had so many problems it seldom finished a race. It is one of the few cars that I think could be removed from the game, but I'll use it for convenience.

Yes, one of the fun things about incessant racing is to find a race that you can barely win (Ford GT or Furai, at Like the Wind, for instance) and keep doing it. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose. Whenever one wins, though, it's a huge fist-pump. And every time a win gets added to that car, it becomes more 'special'.
Maybe it's subjective, or maybe it's only me - but I've noticed that the more wins a car has, the better it gets - as if the program knows how to win better. Okay, I know that sounds nuts. These things ain't alive are they?
The 787B is a truly unique and beautiful car - obviously a firm favourite with many players - and a car that is hard to beat, and easy to win with.
It was another car that I drove constantly in GT4, though I liked the stealth model a little better for some reason.
Finding appropriate A-Spec races to do at the Ring is the thing - I can never tire of racing at the Ring.
Should I mention that awesomely addictive sound of the Mazda? Orgasmic.

I'm not sure what it is with the B-Spec Bots in GT5. Just one of mine is a dud, but the others are killers - and one of them is a Master. I take lessons from him! Still trying to figure out all the Bot psychology . . . needs more study. The original B-Spec 'Bob' from GT4 was bland (though reliable once trained) in comparison to the freaky personalities that my Bots in GT5 have.
As for the 2J . . . while I've admired it for innovation, I've not really enjoyed driving it. Yes, it could be removed from the game, and I wouldn't miss it, except as a novelty in the Garage. I'd trade it for a Model T in a heartbeat.

I'll probably never have that many, I can't stick to one car. I'm all about variety. 👍

I agree that variety does spice up the game - so many cars, so little time!!
You may notice though, that when you constantly drive one car (however much you may try other cars) that you will soon get so used to it and that it becomes almost an extension of your thoughts and can work miracles sometimes.
My excessive wins are due to not being online, and having to play single player - so I need to race, race, race. I call it driving; just delivering the car quick to the finish line. If there are vicious little chihuahua Bots nipping at my heels and trying to prevent me doing that, all the more fun!
My AI are truly murderous - they have no mercy on me and will spin me out given the smallest opportunity. And then there is also Kaz's rather dysfunctional and unrealistic Penalty System - though the latter may be just my opinion.. . .
Interested to know at what Races you use the Epson NSX; also one of my favourite NSXs - a bomb of a car, and I can understand your love for it.

Thom - if it was the '05 you are using, you must be a fairly decent racer - IMO, that is the slowest of the Ford GT breed. What would you do with the Test Car in your hands?

Get yourself the standard '02, and try it out; I'm sure you'll like the added 'pep' it has.

I think its all you. As you drive the same car more and more, it becomes natural to do certain things without a thought. I know there are better cars than the 787, but I have simply learned to drive it better than any other car.

I've raced it so many times, I have very little trouble adapting with different cars. My favorite tracks are the ones where the elevation and curves change so much. Nurnburgring, Cote, Deep Forest, and Trail Mountain, for example.

I think that specially applies to the 787B. I remember in GT4, after acquiring the Stealth version, just aimlessly driving it around - race after race - I would do the Enduro at El Capitan just to unwind after a hard day's work. It was a dream to drive and addictive as hell - as well as that unholy moan it has - and the song at it's 'sweet spot' - so satisfying - and the car seems to be in some way incredibly intuitive. After awhile of continuous driving it, it feels almost a natural extension of your body, flying through curves, jumping around corners, effortlessly taking hills, responding almost to every thought.

I still hold, though, that in some way, the more you use a certain car, the more it seems to learn (via some form of fuzzy logic - and only Kaz and his team could confirm or deny this) to do better. It's almost as if the car is also a 'Bob'. Well, it is AI.. . .

Using Practise Mode one is able to do the Ring with any car from the Garage, and there are also the one make races which can be fun - so there is no lack of opportunity to do the Ring, but in A-Spec Mode itself there are very few races of course. I like Deep Forest and Trial Mountain, too, and yes, most definitely Cote.

Seeing many here who opt for the Ford GT, and the 787B as 'winning cars', and I agree. No stable should be without them. Even a few.

My RGT just reached the 100 mark recently,me and bob share it.

the only car worth mentioning (60+) from my garage of almost 1000 different cars, is the RUF RGT. the only thing i do is change wheels from BBS RM or whatever theyre called to a random 5 spoke and then oil change or just repair the motor and body, doesnt cost that much and ive got nothing to do with my money cause all the cars in UCD/OCD i already have so money is pointless at this point when i can also win ~900k in under 5 minutes in BSpec with my RUF RGT.

My Honda NSX has 63wins and that's it,but you know the NSX isn't a dominant car for every event,I drive pretty much all the time,thats why it has 255 changes,which is more the than double than the next one up whcih is my X1 at 112.My Bentley Speed 8 has 4,266.1 miles mainly because I did the 24hrs of Le mans in it(B Spec)My NSX is next on 2,285.1,and if anyone will spot me in a London lounge its very likely I'll be driving the NSX

But this probably has more to do with the fact that I rarely drive anything else then me getting lots of wins since I don't have them many. ~80 or so.

My highest is 41 with my Minolta. I basically did all the A-spec events and then leveled exclusively on seasonals and online races (took 2 years). So most of my wins are spread among various cars used on seasonals. I wish online races counted so I could see how many I'd have on usual cars.
