First attempt at my favorite livery on my favorite car:

On photos it doesn't look bad compared to the original:

Still, watching on replays, uhm..., it looks way too dark, black parts of the pattern prevail, I don't know, maybe an optical effect due to the nature of the pattern (that I got using Grok)

Looks like people are already using your pattern?

With decals lime these, do you just use the one and spread it over the car, or do you have to put down multiple decals to cover it?

I used 9 different square svgs made out of the original png pattern, then applied them one close to the other making sure they looked good - they're not seamless, but they had to appear to be so.

Morning everyone! I want to recreate the Weatherspire GTD C8 car and before I begin I want some advice so I can start on the right path; my question is about the blue to gold fade, what would work best? Inserting a grey decal in between and play with transparency or make a gradient externally and import? I’m no master using the livery editor but I can manage, any tips would be greatly appreciated!

Main racing decals and base paint done, just need to hide them all and start the pattern!

Is the car's livery metallic, or is it just glossy? Both methods would probably work either way, though using the in-game transparency function for both the fade and the pattern is probably easier and less time consuming. If it doesn't work/doesn't feel right, you could always try the other option.

Personally, and if it is a metallic livery, I would paint the base car a silver metallic, and then use two in-game decals for the fade/gradient (one blue, the other yellow), play with their transparency so they would retain some of the metallic base paint, and make the gradient of the livery this way. You could afterwards tweak the car's paint, if needed, to get a more accurate livery without having to touch the decals. The pattern could also be done in-game, with the transparency function (though it would take quite some work).

On the race stream it looked glossy with certain views looking metallic but could’ve been the sun reflecting though; all pictures I found for reference looks glossy

But your suggestion of having the base paint silver definitely is one I didn’t think of, so really really appreciate it!

Done, it’s not perfect (I’m no expert using the livery editor) but it’s pretty much close enough for me, it looks awesome 😎; very happy with the results!

Wow, amazing work. I'm sure that took a long time to finish adding touches and decorations to it. How long did it actually take? Just curious. Cool colors added into the mix. Happy Monday!

Awesome result, man! Love it!
Thanks!! Was having doubts with the pattern but came out great 😅

Thanks! It took me the whole afternoon yesterday with couple of hours easily just on the colors selection alone, purely by eye matching with a bit of OCD every 15 minutes or so 😅😅

And if anyone wants to use it, it’s up 😊 hope you enjoy it!

Another great feature in GT7 would be the possibility to update shared liveries btw. Sometimes you see small errors or fixes
I'd love that too, but I imagine people will make liveries, share them, and then one day you find your car having giant dicks drawn on them because the creator updated it

I usually take screenshots of my completed work, put them on my phone, and stare at them sproadically in my daily life, just to make sure I catch any errors before sharing (not that that's prevented me from sharing styles I wish I could take back and fix...).

I stopped doing thst after 30 liveries or so, really need to do the rest...but almost at 200 now lol

I'll be sure to use it whenever I get the chance and my ps5 back in here. I can use that same livery and maybe make a couple color changes if I have to. Thanks again.

Decided to design a livery for a fictional Giulia GTAm Racing, sponsored by ITA Airways.
Had some fun recreating the “floral” decals on the tail of the car, similar to the original aircraft livery.
I somehow matched the planes color with a glittered blue.

Now it’s time to sport it on track, starting with EU championship.
Enjoy folks!

Lovely blue. Very stylish overall. Brilliant work!

Just a little thing I cooked up for the Turbo SL. Can be edited to remove the banners and number plates if you want.

Fantastic work! Already added it to my collection. Thanks for sharing it!

Impressive work on that livery man. Show it off in all of the championship races.
