Can someone please check if the A45 is drivable now (AWD, at least partially, and not predominantly FWD with massive wheel spin)? 🤔

I wont be able to try all this until next week.
What was the issue with the A45? Ive used both engine swap and standard engine on tokyo quite a lot and found them a pretty safe drive.

Quick update :

Somehow the 911 GT3 R is not compatible at Road Atlanta (feels bad man 😔) and the 296 GT3 is not compatible at Hokkaido GP a.k.a. High Speed Ring.
Please, cross-post your findings in this thread below, so @J24681357 can update the OP when he as time.

Now what on earth would you do with an X2014 Junior engine swap???

Surprised by the extensive update, cool the see Sophy is updated 👍

Physics updates seem interesting so far.
Something really weird going on with the pad steering filtering at the new Catalunya RX circuit experience though. You can go from lock to lock pretty much instantly, there's some filtering around the middle but otherwise it's really easy to start fishtailing from the front? Bit weird. It's fine on wheel so it's not a physics thing.

Curious for other people to try it on pad and report back?

In real life it drives like a FWD that activates AWD when needed. My experience is you could easily push it to the limit and the electronic assist systems would make it all easy for you. In GT7 however (since update 1.49, the one with the last physics update) it has excessive front wheel spin when you push it (noticeable in corners and full throttle). In my opinion that is not how it should behave.
I am talking about complete stock settings.

Well, being correct about the physics update isn't going to help with the whole "you know stuff but won't share" conspiracists.

Even though it was kinda obvious.

Probably in reference to the Caterham Seven 170. it complies to Kei car regulation with a 0,66l 3-cylinder 84bhp Suzuki engine

Wish I could swap a 2L engine in the E36. F20C from the S2000 would work. Mainly smaller engines for cars. Don't always need the bigger engine to make more power. Like the 2L from the GT500 NSX for the NSX-R.
You are all welcome. ;) :sly:

Kudos and thanks, Polyphony the game on PS5 Pro with ray tracing is finally smooth and stunning 😍😍😍. I’m getting a constant 59.34 fps 🤩, I’d almost given up hope. There’s a lot of good stuff to say about the FFB and physics in this update, but for me, the visuals and smoothness take the top spot.

I think something is wrong with the ghost system now, I have it set to "Reset Ghost Position" On and offset 0.5s. In the Nürburgring 24h time trial I selected current no.1 on the board and their ghost often spawned behind me when crossing into new sectors (I'm not that fast lol). I don't remember this happening before.

Edit: Yeah someone mentioned it in the Time Trial thread, I'm on PS5.

The star car of this update gets a corncopia goodies.

So many cosmetic options:

Possibly a bug, but standard silencer (top) and racing silencer (bottom) are the same. Sports silencer middle image and no semi-sports option:

This must be the most customisable car in the game. Thanks PD! 👍🏼

Is the Mark II Tourer meant to be two-tone? I’m not sure if it’s a lighting bug as when I take it into the livery editor, at certain angles there appears to be no two-tone. Body 2 during paint only touches the bonnet.

The Caterham is the car I am most interested in so seeing your pictures really makes me want this work day to hurry up!

Looks fantastic.

I am usually very critical of this game I thought it was a big letdown compared to GT sport.

However the physics change is very good. In my case I play on the controller, so it is difficult to decouple changes made to physics and controller behavior. I believe we are on a different physics model than wheels players, or there is so much filtering in the inputs that it feels like so.

Previously, countersteering felt very unnatural and assisted, and the car looked jerky/bouncy. The slower and softer the car, the more it was obvious.

Driving the Supra MkV is now closer to the incredible feeling I had on GT sport. The car is soft but the feeling of sliding is more progressive and natural in a very satisfying way, it's smooth. This is a big win as previously I thought more slower/softer than Gr4 felt bad, so pretty much all road cars.

There is still the matter of the chase camera which in my opinion is still not correct and plays a big part in the bouncy feeling. But this is probably never gonna change

Overall the few cars I've tested feel a lot more natural. You can even see in the replays, previously countersteering induced a very jerky movement of the car which looked a bit comical, but now it's much reduced
