I just finshed amateur mode and won my Viper Team Ocrea and I went into professional mode with high sprits thinking my Viper would win all. I got a NA tune up kit stage 2 and went in to gran turismo all stars on the test course. I got in and i struggled getting into 3rd once i finally got into 2nd the GT-One i was facing was already on the other side of the turn so i was just wondering what car did you guys use for the Gran Turismo All stars in Professional mode?
 
Yeah, that certainly is a hard race... one of the hardest in Professional mode, if I recall correctly.

I think I used a Mazda 787B, and still had trouble keeping first place the entire time.
 
Do you have a Lotus Esprit 350? It's a good investment. I used it for that race and destroyed the competion by the 3rd lap. It doens't get off the line as fast as the other cars but it has a really high top speed (mine tops out at 278mph). It's also pretty good for more technical tracks like Special Stage Route 11.

I ran a 787b in with a Stage 1 turbo. set-up:

Final Drive: 4.300
Auto Setting: Level 32
Minimized downforce.

Managed a 1'34+ win over the R390

While Widest setting on the autoset is easy, it's not the best way to hit the high end of the power. Give those settings a shot, and see if you notice a difference.

Well, they weren't as wide as possible, but they were pretty wide. I had the normal settings for the Test Course. I lowered it, softened the springs a little, and lessened the downforce also.

The only reason I used the car is because I was so frustrated by not being able to beat the GT-one. I decide to just go all out and kill them.

i didn't have the 787B, so i must've used either the GT-ONE or GT40 Race Cars (probably the GT40).
that's quite a difficult race.
 
I used the F1 i think? Then prolly the GT-One next save.
