I'm currently building a new cockpit for my new wheel and pedals,

I'm going fir fanatec 5nm with the booster pack and simnet pedals.

Would like to hear from members with seating positions and feet positions best in Gt7 and wheel position

I'm designing my positions as in this video, how accurate would you say the info in this video was
If the video is to long for you, you can just fast forward to different time intervals where you see the the different line positions

Suggestion from what I seen a friend do to make it right for him (if you can afford the space)
Take measurements from your car that you drive IRL, measurements from wheel how you hold it, measurements of the pedals to where you sit, seat height, and such that its COMFORTABLE to you. If you are cramped or legs are not "right" It will affect how you race..
Hope these ideas help

I'm going to be building it with the four different line positions in the video have you seen them, you can quickly find them by fast forwarding etc, there's a line for feet arms shoulder and middle of wheel

His position looks very comfortable. He is too close to the steering wheel for me though.

Personally wouldn't bother taking measurements or even watching videos of some random guy telling you how it 'should' be. As long as your rig has wheel up and down and tilt adjustment and your seat can at least go forward and backwards and pedal deck tilt, I'd slacken it all off and adjust it until it feels good to drive without pain/straining.

Thanks I've just started building my new rig I've done the measurements exactly in the opening video , I still have. A while to go before I get it looking like an F1 Citrix cockpit not the one shown in thile video on the opening post, but having sat in a Citrix f1 cockpit I can comfirm the position of the driving position and comfort is identical, for me, my driving experience and comfort is now the best it's ever been for me.

All finished thanks for the like @jrbabbitt

I've got wheel casters on the front to, all made out of wood and it's solid as rock , ,,,🙂

Whole lot cost me 50 UK pounds to makes which is peanuts,

Better still @jrbabbitt I just got within 4 tenths of a top 100 at Daytona daily in the viper m 145.434 position 400 in the rankings not bad for a Saturday optimal was 145.215 too, never cheated to like so many do cutting across the grass etc
I think the simnet pedals and being able to ajust the linear curves are making a difference to m.

Especially in the fr cars that have a tendency to wheel spin on acceleration
