Hello everyone,

Being my second posted thread about Gran Turismo Sport, I'd like to first of all thank the community and it's members for visiting my first post about the "Laferrari Driveability." Your feedback has been extremely commendable and helpful so thanks again all for your input and hopefully the guys at PD fix that issue and at least make it drive like an N500 car at least!

As version update 1.23 arrived Monday afternoon here in Australia (morning elsewhere e.g. UK), I was excited to get my hands on the iconic, renowned Mazda 787b '91 le mans race car. First impressions were just wow, sounds AMAZING. One important thing I realised when coming to a complete stand still, and just letting the engine idle, was that the car was missing that iconic engine idle sound; it sounded more calm and collected like a normal car idling. What I mean is the infamous BRAP BRAP BRAP BRAP BRAP when the rotaries are in revolution. Yet the Mazda LM55 has the idle engine sound correct, but in a new car? I hope this gets patched very soon as PD are known for their little intricate attention to detail. Also, as the thread title says, I want to also mention the Nissan R91CP, Mercedes Sauber C9 and Jaguar XJ-R9 race cars to have better sounding engine idle sounds. For example, the rpm sound needs to sound uneven during idle, because the engine is quite old and worn out. For a twin turbo v8 engine or naturally aspirated v12 engine, the piston firing order sounds uneven and rough. If you could please spread this post and give your thoughts on this matter as it would be much appreciated.

Thanks for reading and have a nice day.

I skipped the word "sounds" in the title and thought it's a thread to separate Group C from Gr. 1

I'm not exactly well-versed in terms of Group C car sounds, do you have any real life references?

Clearly all the idle (and some engine sounds) of the Group C cars in GT Sport are wrong.
Let us all hope these gets patched along the way....

Ohhh I see. The Sauber C9 in particular actually sounds closer to GT6 than now in GTS. The C9 in GTS sounds gorgeous, but I can't hear it being anywhere near the same tone as the actual C9. GT6 has worse sounds, but the tone is in the ballpark

Thanks very much for the video references! And yes, as you could tell from those videos, the engine sounds during idle are rough and uneven, like the car hasn't been started up for years (when that's how they naturally sound). Hopefully, just HOPEFULLY the car sounds become patched (hence, ^ "revamped."

That too!! We now have 4 group C cars that need to be split into their respective category (like Group B rally). GTS has Group 2 cars with only 3 cars in that class, but we now have 4 cars belonging to Group C. Hopefully they'll be moved over because I think PD will be adding more le mans race cars in future. They seriously do not belong in Group 1, with todays modern lmp machines with mad cornering, and the old school having unmatched brutal top speed.
