Greetings fellow GTP members! I hereby announce the first annual Gran Turismo Time Attack Championship! The rules are simple, take any production car, modify the heck out of it, give it a good tune, and try to set the best lap time on various tracks! However, there are certain restrictions.
1) You can NOT use any pre-tuned car (I.E. HKS CT230R or S2000 GT1 Turbo)
2) You can NOT use a race car, only a production car
3) Corner cutters and glitchers will be automatically disqualified! Stay on the track at all costs!
4) No driving assists allowed! ABS is allowed however.
5) No cars over 700 HP! However, if your car has over that limit, you can use the power limiter, but to make it fair, the highest a detuned car can go is 650HP. If your car has for example 701HP, then you can lower it to 700HP

Here's the schedule:
Day 1) Nurburgring GP/F on 4/26 @ 7PM est
Day 2) Indy Road Course on 5/1 @ 1PM est
Day 3) Suzuka East Course on 5/2 @ 1PM est
Day 4)
Day 5)
Day 6)
Day 7)
Day 8)
Day 9)
Day 10)

If this gets up and going, days 4, 5, and 6 will be announced after day 2. Winner gets a free car of their choice from the New Car Dealership under $1,000,000! Hurry up and register! Only 16 people will get in!

EDIT: A suggestion was brought up by one of my trusted friends that each individual will have a set amount of time to run their laps. Each person will get 2 laps to test their car and tweak any problems, then they will have 5 laps to set a good lap time. After everyone is finished, the person with the fastest lap time will be crowned the winner of that Time Attack session. Also, you can bring up to TWO vehicles to the event instead of just one. Some cars excel on bigger less technical tracks, while others are great for difficult tracks. Chromeline cars are ALLOWED with the exception of the Jaguar XJ13 as it is a race car.

Sony will not let us get on with what should be a great time trial. Hopefully it will only be another week and PSN will be back to normal.
