My proposal:

A series of five races, each of 2 hours duration, for tuned factory production cars from any era. Only cars starting at below 450PP would be eligible, and must be tuned up to 500PP.

Tracks will be a good mix, including Le Mans '09, Nürburgring 24H, Trial Mountain, Circuito de Madrid and Grand Valley Speedway.

Races would begin at 20:00 hours GMT. Day of the week is to be decided. Races would likely be held every two weeks.

Full tuning is permitted, tyres would be Sports Soft. No aids except ABS; no penalties, heavy damage, real grip reduction, weak slipstream.

None of this is set in stone, of course. I'd just like to guage any interest.

Thanks,

t :)

Had I not already committed my Saturdays (which is the only day I'm normally available) I'd have done now :( but seems good and I hope it catches interest 👍

Thanks rally, well depending on interest, it could start next week, or next year, so never say never... :)

500PP road cars are so popular in public lobbies, I think it deserves to be treated as an official category, and properly celebrated in a series.

Myself and a few friends do something very similar to your proposal. Any road car under 2500cc (which loosely matches your <450pp initial spec), tuned to 500pp. Running sports hards, real grip and weak slip stream.
Our races last about 45 mins each, so reading your post piqued my interest.

Thread bump - This idea is still live to me, any takers?

I'm still interested, but will depend entirely on dates and times. I work shifts, and have young children.
