Q2, P2, 1.1s from P1
very happy with it after 3 P9 the previous rounds.
got 158 points.
3M-->2S
Pretty much uneventful, didn't make any serious mistake, surprisingly . An overall time of 41:35 which was the best I had done in any of the practice races.

EMEA GT2 - Q9 P7 - Another "meh" race... (Reanult RS 01)

The pole was 8:19.xxx and my personal is 8:13... but I qualy 26 sec slower... too many thought in my mind...

I decided to start with Soft (2 laps) and then Medium (3 laps).
The main reason is that with soft I am not so faster than medium, when those are already at 80% I am doing mistakes, I want to be "faster" with the full tank (to compensate that), while when I will have less fuel I will have a "worse" compund. The two things crossed should balance my performance.

The overall idea was right, and at T1 some one "gently" touched me, I touched someone else, no penalty for me, I went out from T1 in P4...
Everything is going well, but too much focused watching the 2-3 cars in front of me in full rage version... and being distracted by that I missed a breaking point... what a genius... spin... 720 degres... back in P14... GREAT JOB!

Changed tires, no fuel, back on track carefully because medium are cold and will not warm immediately.

I am lapping faster than the soft ( I don't know why) and along the track I see yellow flag but I am not overtaking anyone but after a few seconds I see on the left of my screen some "yellow writings"... some people are leaving... (maybe those of yellow flag).

Starting Lap 4 some cars are entering in the box and I overtook all of them (their third lap with soft was slower than my first on medium).

I am travelling alone, not reaching neither reached by anyone... till the end of lap 5...
A driver on Mclaren is faster than me, it is reaching me... "I will drive clean and if needed I will let him go"...
He is pushing and we are very close to the final straight... but a few km before, the super fast esses, he decided to pass me... I moved to left to give him space... he touched me sending me on the grass... I control the car and I go straight... but he went on the grass too on the other side and spin... crossing my lane... I brake to avoid him and he crashed on the rails...
...he just should wait for the final straight to pass me very easily... your car is faster than mine...

So my P7 is saved... but as many times my mind goes to the stupid mistake done in lap1... and in any race I do something really stupid that change the full story...

See you under the rain in SPA... and let see whatelse of stupid I will do there...

Ps.
@dazdilly75 is a pleasure to see you make this car shine on the track... I am compensating on the other side...

Hey bro, your race sounded very eventful and full of drama. All we can do is to try our best and drive clean. Hopefully a better result will come for you in the next round..I always say, if I can finish in the top 8, then I am happy. Well done bro, don't be so hard on yourself!

I'm happy, I did my best today...qualified as P4

EMEA - GT1 A - 02:30 (my 3rd race on the trot).....Qualy - 8th.....Race - 10th (Scored my highest tally for the day)

Will try to keep this short as nothing much to write spectacular....The only thing worth mentioning here is I raced in all the 3 EMEA slots. So I started practicing/racing at 10pm & by the end of race 3, I slept at 4am.

As my 1st race wasn't at par (P12), I thought I'll give it another shot. But sadly, in Race 2, I spun on a kerb again & I finished in P15. I had no choice but to attempt Race 3 as I knew I would finish higher than this. I finished in 10th & earned a meagre but decent for me 101 points which was something to take home.

Heading to this race, I was already nervous knowing my Audi R8 jumps ferociously over the kerbs which meant I had to alter my racing line to avoid them. My nerves got the better off me as I would hit some kerb & spin out even when driving on my own. This is the only time I cursed racing on a controller + my car Audi R8. I took part in all the 3 race slots because I didn't want to give up in a bad finishing position. For the sake of competition, I kept my spirits high though. :gtpflag:

Race Slot 1 (22:30) - I qualified in P14 as I went off on the grass. I Finished in P12 scoring 93 points.

Race Slot 2 (00:30) - Qalified in 13th & finished 15th earning 80/81 points.

Race Slot 3 (02:30) - Qualified in 6th & finished in 10th earning 101 points. (screenshot of the last race finishing result).

That's the way I see it.

If I don't get top 3, I'm happy with either finishing in the top half of the lobby, or at least finishing higher than I started (of which I have done both rounds I have been able to race).

Just give me those Dr increases.

Nurb was the only race that I cared of this season.
Tonight I only had time for slot 2 and this happened to me.

All these days of practice and planing strategies to the garbage. I would love to break some glasses or something 😄

Ahhhhhh man i laughed but feel bad for you. Ive experienced that before. You just sit there for a moment in silence and contemplate life. Dagger throhgh the heart.

Geez, is rain the only kind of weather that appears in Spa lately? Even in the last exhibition round featuring the track it rains!
Gran Turismo® 7_20260125133524.webp

Based on the radar alone, it seems like the rain would be here to stay the moment it arrives.
Gran Turismo® 7_20260125134809.webp

And judging from the free practice setup it would come around lap six for the rain to take full effect. Already thinking of pitting in after Lap 5. Given that one pit stop is needed for the race, and that an entire duration of the pit + tire change taking more than 30 seconds, it might as well be the only pit stop that counts in the entire race.

At lap 9, I'd figured that the IMs isn't doing too much favors for the car (where I crashed shortly after). What do you think? Given that in the actual race, a dry line would be formed. But with Spa's elevation being different compared to Dragon Trail Gardens, would you stick to full Wets instead?

High C, low B rated driver here.

Had two C races yesterday. 1st race in the morning slot I came 3rd. I thought to myself, "that was so fun but even though I doubt I'll be fast enough to get a better result, there is no point not racing again to protect my 3rd place. I'm not fighting for no real prize so let me go again, enjoy the game for what it is and if I come lower than 3rd in my next race, it is what it is".

Joined the evening slot for my 2nd race and finished 3rd again. Was so enjoyable and I think I had a chance to win either if I kept the car on track. Just a few chicanes, especially one shortly after the first old banking turn where I carried too much speed and lost time going over the grass.

I'm driving the 911 and have stuck with that Manufacturer from the very beginning. I literally chose it by chance and never knew it would be so popular. Because its my event Manufacturer, I never use in daily lobbies, even if its the meta.

The race setup is identical to the last exhibition round including tyres, wear rates and minimum pitstops required. Unless there is dark blue in the top bar of the surface water gauge I would stick to IMs. Perhaps a notch or 2 of TCS might help if you are spinning out? And remember to avoid racing line and curbs when braking and accelerating, if possible.

If I remember correctly last time I changed to Wet at lap 9.
It was already too late because being on the back I got rain for almost 1 lap.
However with so many cars on the track the line could last dry a little longer so you can change tires later than lap 5.
For my capabilities Wets were the right tires and I managed a good result at the end.

I made the same mistake in the porsche so many times
It's so easy to do, especially on controller when you lose the steering at the apex because of the bump, I can't blame the pad issues this time though I just caught the kerb on the inside. I'm looking forward to trying this combo in the new 911 GT3 R on Thursday 🥰

Finished 9/16 at nurburgring, not enough practice and too many mistakes, did a 3M 2S strategy not that it really mattered. Always really struggle with mutkurve and galgenkopf and today was no exception, reckon I lost about 40 seconds on those two over the 5 laps which would have had me 5th. Coupled with deep forest being my least favourite track the round before not a good couple of races!

I finally managed to stay connected for a full slot...

Team Renault - R.S.01 GT3 '16 - GT2 - 7PM EST - Americas - 77 points available - Door #2 - Q4 (8:20.929)
gtws-mc-rd4-78-racing.webp

At 77 points, this lobby was a far cry from the 127 and 126 I was seeing in the slots I was disconnected from. Even if I won, I'd be more than 20 points off my season average. Oh well, it is what it is.

It turned out to be a most uneventful race. The three cars ahead of me left me behind, while I took off from the cars behind. I was promoted to P3 when the Q3 driver pitted from RS to RMs at the end of lap 2, then fell back to P4 when I pitted from RMs to RSs the next lap.

I came out of the pits 8 seconds behind P3. I had the tire compound advantage and I was hopeful I might catch up, but I was only able to narrow the gap to 3 seconds. In the attempt, I did manage to book the Fastest Lap of the race (8:15.273), which for me is rare -- rarer than wins -- so I'm happy about that.

In the end, it was P4 for 67 points (same as my P11 finish in the Aston Martin in the first slot), with a 1.7% increase to my DR B progress for 79.3%

Round 4 saw me in the highest points lobby I've ever been (366) and scoring the highest I ever have (335). Qualified P8 with an awful lap so this is a story of what coulda'been. Gained 3 seconds on the lead between the end of lap 1 and the end of the race.. Decided to keep the points haul and solidify my spot in 2nd for AMG.

I'm now a whopping 500 points behind P1 and 250 ahead of P3. AMG is empty this season.

SO we should have rain during the 20 lap race, right? Anyway it's a long race + wet weather will make the race even more grueling. The fun bit will be understanding the track conditions the best & fastest to get some advantage over others.

BTW, I drove a lobby race but there the race was in dry which I wasn't expecting as a lot if not every one are saying rain is imminent in the race.

Two of the best tracks, Nurburgring & Spa in back to back events is really invigorating. Thank goodness that the R8 is way better at Spa than it was yesterday at Nurburgring for me.

It's crazy to think my finishing time, would have got me over 300 points in your lobby, maybe I need to start an American account!? Great race by the way! EMEA is a nightmare.

The weather is random / scripted. Meaning there are a few different scenarios, that can occur with the weather. I won this race in the last exhibition season, and the weather was very slow moving. Last time the rain appeared and stayed on lap 13. So those who pitted on lap 9/10 ended up having to pit twice. It's a strategic nightmare if the rain comes after the half way point because you might even be running on worn tyres.

This race is all about weather prediction and timing your pitstop so you optimise your tyres.
Also, the fuel refil rate was X3 last time, which made fuel saving essential, as you could jump people in the pits. This time it's X7 so you won't lose as much time putting fuel in the car, if required. I think this round is going to throw a ton of variables into the mix, that could make or break the race.

Well my Round 4 was way soooo abysmal - EMEA - GT3 C lobby - 7pm Qualy - 14th.....Race - 11th

I again had to do the late slots as unfortunate personal commitments and work and these timgins didnt make it easy to do an early afternoon race when I was less tired.

I did the race at 7pm and managed to get 11th place overall despite crashing on Lap 1 and having to play the catchup game down the green hell all 5 laps of race, finished it and didnt save the replay because I thought I could do another race, i gueesed wrong lol. It rolled over and I gave a go to try the 9pm slot but was just dozing off and crashing off track, the Ferarri flopping about, so ended up quittin and just went to sleep, had no energy in the tank left. Dont doze off and drive is the lesson I learned that day lol.

Lets go Round 5, its another strong track were I will leave ample time to practice, qualify well and win this time!!

Sucks to hear about so many lobby crashes. Yet another reason why GT1 needs more time slots - if there are issues with the servers at least you can have more than three (and likely one or two for so many people because the available times on either end aren't reasonable (ie, midnight or something)) attempts at these races.

My lobby didn't crash, but it seemed to come close many times. Every three to five mins I'd say everyone would go to one, red bar and cars would jump all over the place; thankfully, only lasted a few seconds each time and things would reset themselves.

I've decided I am not a huge fan of the 296. It's pretty decent on tires, good on fuel (I jumped a place in the pits by not having to refuel) and has good top end, but the turbo lag is quite bad. Almost reminds me of a Gr2 car but without the downforce to help mitigate it. Not BRZ bad, but bad enough it just wants to kick sending the rears spinning. If you're good at mitigating that then this car will suite you, but many exits - especially the slow ones - I was worried about losing it. I didn't, thankfully, but probably lost time in the process.

I basically decided that whichever tire I started on I was going to run for three laps. Was doing the 3/2 strat regardless as I did not want to pit after two and come out behind those pitting after three (unless I was way in the back myself). Wasn't able to do as many races as I wanted; Nord is always a good time, especially with some strat involved.

Well, this Cup series has been nothing less than a murder scene to my DR. I have had every track idiot you could have in my races, wreck to pass, punters, dive bombers, and blockers (block me as the race leader). It has been plain awful. I have not had one round that was not twisted metal or a mad max zone, in what started as high A dr lobbies. It has me almost sick to see months of clean race work destroyed this fast by people who don't give a sheet.

Pretty much waiting it out until Watkins Glen, which just made me realize it'll be my first online race there in nearly a decade (and in a totally different game no less). At this point I wonder if there even is a point to try and qualify with how messy the starts have seemingly been consecutively.

Same in my races. I’ve avoided contact a few times but sometimes there isn’t a way. On a side note the daily’s have gotten worse too.

Not much to report really, qualified P1 with a very poor 8:22 in a C lobby, ended up with a win by 12 seconds to P2 and over 1 minite to P3. Finished the race with zero penalties and a maximum points haul. I have the race up on the tube but im probably still banned from here so i wont post it 🤣
I did 3rs and 2m but in hindsight the AMG was better suited to the 2m 3rs that i did on my other account on B lobbies, i won that as well

EMEA - GT3 B lobby
My first online experience at the Nürburgring, despite everything going against me, I'm happy.

I already mentioned that my driving style and the 650S just don't want to deal with curbs, so I was driving so carefully that I thought I'd definitely be last. However, the 3PS-2PM strategy worked perfectly. I managed to stay in the group for the first three laps and get a slipstream on the long straight, and then I could drive at my own pace on the RM.

I qualified in 11th place (already a success, I was expecting 16th). As expected, I just had to keep going and not spin out; the gaps cleared up as the drivers in front spun off the track.

The most interesting moment was on the last lap, when I was running in 8th place. Have you ever played without sound? It's a very strange feeling! The baby is sleeping in the next room, so I keep the TV volume at minimum, and overall it's fine. I wish it was louder, but it's okay. But then my wife decided to clean up, and I couldn't hear the car at all, not a single sound. There were a lot of other cars, and that distracted me at one point. I simply missed the braking point and drove full speed into Bergwerk, dropping us to 11th place. Well, I definitely didn't want to do it again, so I continued the race. It was a shame, of course, on the last lap, and only because I was distracted by the outside noise. By the long straight, I had caught up with 9th and 10th place because they were battling each other. I didn't even plan to overtake them, although I could have. I just wanted to get there, but they fought to the last and both went off into the gravel on the last corner, and I went with them. They spun, and I went tangent, and ended up in 9th place.

Now I'm getting headphones to play with, for some reason it seems to me that this will add 0.1-0.2 seconds
