Grand Canyon (GT4)

Anyone else remember this course? The last time I've driven on Grand Canyon was back in the PSP version of GT. Since then, Grand Canyon has been absent from the series, not to mention spectators stepping onto the road!

Absolutely epic track and best rally track in the GT franchise along with Cathedral Rocks! GT6 sorely is missing the presence of rally that existed in GT4!

It sure was scenic... I remember being utterly blown away by how good it looked in an EB Games kiosk in 2005.

Great track, it's a shame it didn't make into GT5/GT6.

One of my big hopes for GT7 is that they bring back all of the old rally courses from past GT games (especially Grand Canyon). Imagine what this track would be like with a day and night cycle.... It's not exactly proper rally racing, but has anyone actually cared? As long as I can drive a rally car on a loose surface with landscape like that racing by, it deserves the title 'rally'. Better than the officially licensed WRC games any day....

I am not very sure but I think it is completely fictional, but please do not quote me on that

^ Hmmm, very good question. To be honest, I don't know.

-> People like Shirakawaa or some geo-nut may answer that question on its entireity. I'm just guestimating here, but I think it was based on the West Rim part of the canyon park...but I honesty dumbfounded about it.

Actually, the reason why PD don't bring the GT tracks back is because they're more focused to real tracks.
