Grand Theft Auto Roleplay?

I really, really enjoy a good roleplay. Even games that arn't make for it, I find a way. GTA IV is one I try to do it in (only in multiplayer). Problem is, I don't know anyone else who would roleplay with me, or take it slightly serious. I'm just tired of joining games of Free Mode and having 3/4th of people going on mass killing sprees with no sense of care what so ever.

My questions are...

- Are there social groups/clubs that do this sort of thing? How can I join? Over 17 years of age, of course.
- Have you ever thought about this? Does it sound fun?
- How much of a hassle would it be to start something like this?
 
We did actually have a clan with various people in it playing different roles. Some were police, paramedics, firemen, drug dealers etc., and we used to host regular rooms. But interest slowly died and the clan doesn't run anymore.

Perhaps you could make your own RP clan? I'd probably join.

Well, if you're wanting some inspiration, you could always take a look at the old clan thread and use that for ideas. :)

I'd join too. I love driving sensibly on GTA IV. Only trouble is try and do that offline and you'll be rear ended by thousands of taxi-drivers. I swear there is more taxi's than people. :lol:

Just try to plan a date for the cruise, and add everyone one PSN.
 
Im up for it, and one of my other friends not registered on here would join as-well, depending on if we are on TBOGT, TLAD or Normal GTA IV.

Good point!! I can only do normal GTA. I've played and completed both TLaD and TBoGT however I no longer have them on my system.

Playing a role, basically. You have a number of people in a room, and perhaps some of them are police, some are paramedics, some are criminals etc., and you just.. well, play that role. The criminals can get up to no good and the police can chase them, or the police can cruise around looking for trouble. Criminal gangs could have fights and the paramedics have to see to anyone who was injured. It's quite fun!
 
I, too, love driving by the traffic rules in GTA, preferably in a big beige sedan with the soothing tunes of Fusion FM coming out the speakers. Sign me up, my PSN is Cleartec.
 
If I have time I would be up for this, I think I'd be a good cop ;).
 
At this rate, instead of an event, I might as well make a group, or rise up the old one. I will probably have things organized by Sunday, and a topic will be out.

The jobs I have been thinking of are mostly criminal types... anyone with job suggestions would be great! The thread should start either later this evening or tomorrow.
