This Post is about the long awatied new gta well, i heard somewhere that the new vice city game will feature new cars taller building's, more gore's, and more ho's, this game will include the vice city, and you'll be able to leave vice cty from the highway and its a rumer that at the end of the highway is more missions in Liberty City Sounds Good??? Well Write what you want in this new game and what you want to happen

So - I think I heard the next one is going to be GTA 4, as well, not simply a refined GTAIII in a different locale. Can anyone confirm this?

people dont get it do they...
theirs already a gta4 and isnt the next san andreas or sin city???
gta3... liberty city
gta4... vice city

There are 3 GTA's on the PS1 GTA1, GTA 2 AND GTA LONDON 1969, GTA London 1969 is not GTA3 it's a sequel but it's not GTA3, just like GTConcept. :p The next GTA is gonna take place in Las Vegas, But the city will be named 'San Andreas'. :)

Rockstar Games announces Grand Theft Auto: Sin City
6/3/2003 5:45:32 PM | Posted by AgentDark006

Rockstar Games, the world-renowned publishing division of Take-Two Interactive Software, Inc., proudly announces Grand Theft Auto: Sin City, the follow-up to the global blockbuster title Grand Theft Auto: Vice City. Grand Theft Auto: Sin City is the latest installment in the gaming franchise that has exceeded 30 million units in total sales to-date. It will be available exclusively for PlayStation2 and is expected to hit retail shelves in the United States on October 21st.

Grand Theft Auto: Sin City will surpass the unprecedented gameplay, cinematic graphics and immersive audio experience that gamers associate with Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, which was released in October 2002 and has rapidly become the fastest selling, highest grossing game for PlayStation2 computer entertainment system to-date, with global sales exceeding 6 million units. Rockstar Games will release additional information about the game’s content at the E3 Expo in Los Angeles this may, however today Rockstar is announcing that this game melds the pitch-perfect gameplay of the Grand Theft Auto franchise with world-renowed artist Frank Miller's Sin City universe.

Sam Houser, the executive producer of the Grand Theft Auto franchise and president of Rockstar Games, commented, "With Grand Theft Auto 3 and Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, we really raised the bar on what people have come to expect from a PlayStation2 title. With source material as rich and fleshed out as Frank Miller's comic series Sin City, we know we're on track to raise that bar all over again."

Les Benzies, the producer of Grand Theft Auto games, noted, "Fans will be absolutely blown away by Grand Theft Auto: Sin City. With Vice City, Rockstar created a living, breathing city of the 80s. With Sin City, it's a whole different ball game."

Sin City creator Frank Miller remarked, "I've been a fan of Rockstar since the first Grand Theft Auto game. It was clear to me that they have the right attitude, and with Grand Theft Auto 3 they created a modern crime masterpiece. I felt honored when they approached me to collaborate on Grand Theft Auto: Sin City, and I am positive that fans of comics and games alike will agree that this is a match made in heaven."

Kelly Sumner, Take-Two Interactive Software’s Chief Executive Officer added, "The Booze, Broads and Bullets' atmosphere of Sin City was an absolute perfect match for the Grand Theft Auto franchise. Fans of the series will be thrilled when they encounter Marv, Hartigan, and the lovely Nancy Callahan, all lovingly rendered in stunning 3D. And of course, Lazlow will be on the radio, having shipped over from Liberty City."

:dunce: Oh my god, this topic is fool of idiots.......

First of all do not beleive anything this AgentDark006 says. He is just posting crap he probably made up.

Second, the next GTA - GTA4, will be set in San Andreas, which is supposed to be San Fransisco. That is the only think that has been confirmed about GTA4. Yes there is also a Sin City, most likely to be based on Las Vegas, but this has not been confirmed when this will be released and on what console. GTA4 will definatly be on PS2.

Besides - why is this in Gran Turismo forum?

That's what I was asking above - I thought I'd heard the next one was going to be tagged GTA4, but wasn't sure.

Didn't pick up on the location - I'll fix that now.

Ok, I havent posted in a long trime and I bet many of you dont remember me but heres the info on this topic. There is NO information out yet about the upcoming GTA and Vice Cty was not GTA 4, so shut it. Also all the info AgentDark006 is giving you is BS. There hae been no, info, its most likley going to be called GTA: San Andreas rather than Sin City and the upcoming GTA will also most likley still be on PS2 other than PS3 unless R* is gonna wait till it comes out to improve the graphics will I seriously doubt they will. There ya go people, thats all the info so far, and about the name San Andreas, that hasn't even been confirmed yet. People are just guessing that but it will probably be it because www.gtasanandreas.com is registered by an employee of Rockstar games.

I've come across THREE rumours about the next GTA game.

First is that it will be called Sin City and that the next city will be based on Las Vegas, just like Vice City was based on Miami. With casinos and the mob and everything.

Second is that it will be called San Andreas and that the city will be based on Los Angeles with the plot based around the film industry with the main character some sort of film mogul or something.

Third is that it will be called San Andreas and that the city will be based on San Francisco. But no hints as to gameplay or plot.

These are the three rumours I've heard. But considering that it'll probably be another 9 months or so until the game is actually released, I'd say Rockstar are still in early development and that all this speculation is a waste of time really.

KM.

I heard the next version is going to take place in the jungle and the primary character is going to have to accomplish a military mission instead of steal cars and stuff.

And they are going to call it Grand Theft Auto: Metal Gear Solid 3

I can't believe I just wasted the last 3 minutes of my life reading this thread.:banghead:
