Is the A to B road in Toscana (from the grand tour special event with the lambo at night) available in practice or arcade mode? It's on tarmac and not gravel. After doing the event I did not see it unlocked in any other mode.

If it's not on the track list, it's not available to drive. It sounds a bit like the infamous Rome Night stage that only appeared in one of the S-Licence tests in GT2 (it could also appear in the event randomiser and one-make manufacturer series, but the probability was very low) and it didn't unlock in Arcade until you got the S-Licece. The idea was that the game challenged you with a circuit you had never seen before; Polyphony might be thinking along the same lines here.

Are you sure it's not randomly-generated? I've heard that the stages used in Gran Turismo Rally are.

BTW, I find this event very hard because I can't see nothing :scared:

randomly? Never even thought about that. It's just another track (even though only A to B).It's always the same. I think the name in game is "strada di toscana". Thought toscana is only offroad gravel stuff but that track surprised me. It's a nice road and I'd really like to drive it in practice or arcade. It's at night (actually time change from sunset to night) but driving it during daytime would be even better :).
It would seem weird to me that there is a track that is only available in a special event even though you say there was something like that in GT4.

Yes that too lol :) Lights on cars are a nice addition but they are not very real. Thats why I thought if that track is available somewhere, then it must also be an option to drive during daytime.

Its randomly generated like the gravel and snow tracks in rallies in special events.

really?? wow. Did not know that. So "interludes" guess was correct. I gotta go in an drive that event again and see the changes on track. That means I can never learn it! argh! :ouch: :)
Thx man, that answers it. I can never drive it in practice. But I could make it in the course generator cause thats what the game must use to randomly generate it itself I guess :)

I'm not so sure it is as a lot of people report 'climbing a hill where you can see nothing' and I have replayed the event many times and it hasn't changed.

It seems to be the very same part of road that is often used for the car demos. Definitely not random but exactly the same every time, and if someone indeed finds out how to access it in free run here's another guy wanting to know about it.

The track is generated but not randomly. Think of it as like the track maker courses - once you save a course it's always the same, but it's still generated. Technically they do this by fixing the random number generator to produce the same results every time. it's the same way they do the opponent behaviour in the overtake licences - the AI uses a random number generator to make decisions and introduce driver error, but the results are always the same. The difference with the AI cars is as soon as you affect a car, its behaviour changes.
