After reading Der Alta's compendium *once again:D *, the best car would be the Calsonic Skyline tuned to 638 HP. But we know that's overkill, so i'm running it stock at 485 HP and see how i do.;) Purchases: T2,T8 tires, stage 1 turbo *won't be using* and Valvoline motor oil.

After qualifying on the pole by 4.157 sec on T5 tires, it appears that the AI took their stupid pills today, especially the Skylines. Now off to the GV300, bought to you by RVD TV and Polyphony Digital.:D Sponsored by Kellogg's Frosted Corn Flakes. Let's go racing!;)

Race Report

Coming into the tight final chicane on the 1st lap, i spun the car out due to cold tires and hammering the throttle too hard, too soon.:P Then on lap 3 i did the same thing, except it was coming out of the first hairpin. On lap 5 coming into the 2nd hairpin, i pass the Raybrig NSX under braking for 2nd position. Then on the same lap through the final chicane, i pass the Castrol NSX for the lead.:D Of course the 125,000 people here went wild as their favorite driver took the lead. :D After 7 laps, the Raybrig and Castrol NSX's pit for new tires. What an exciting race this has become now. Lead over the 2nd place Denso Sard Supra is 28.830 sec at the end of lap 9. During lap 11, i spun the Calsonic Skyline again coming off turn 8. My car has serious power oversteer problems as i spin out once again on lap 12. At the end of lap 13 the Supra pits for new tires. Only thing keeping me from falling asleep at this point is the radio in the Skyline. The Raybrig and Castrol NSX's pit for new tires @ the end of lap 14. This enduro has becoming mindlessly boring due to no comp. The 2 NSX's pit at the end of lap 21. I dive onto pit road at the last second coming around to complete lap 23. The Denso Sard Supra pits at the end of lap 26 for new tires. It's not a matter of if the car can last 186.34 mi, it's a matter of the driver not killing himself due to insanity. RVD might just make it due to the Calsonic's radio. At lap 28, the Pennzoil Nismo GT-R gets lapped by the Calsonic. On the same lap i slide by the Loctite Zexel and put him 1 lap down. Once again the 2 NSX's pit for new rubber. Guess what the NSX's did on lap 35; pitted as usual. On lap 37 i lapped the top 3 AI cars. Now everyone is 1 lap down.:D I just came out of the pits on lap 46 w/ 4 fresh tires. In case you're wondering why i'm not writing anything down, the race has become too boring to type anything.  White flag is in the air; one lap to go for RVD and the Calsonic team!:D As he comes off the final corner, every one of the 125,000 fans is on their feet cheering for RVD. As RVD comes across the finish line, he's going to win the GV300 in his Calsonic Skyline.:D

It's a little hard to read, but I believe 1 hour, 53 minutes, and 24.099 seconds. It's at the end there (unless he just edited that in).

[Edit:] Oh, heck yeah! What Miataboy is about to say - a good enjoyable writeup! It's great to see more people taking the time to do this.
👍

Good job RVD. I see your style is starting to form with these write-ups. Kepp at it and realize that no one is mocking you with comments, they are just trying to give you better insight on how to make it better :)
