I am embarking on Grand Valley 300KM's tomorrow. I want a car that will guarantee me a win because I dont want to waste time. But I refuse to use the F1's. I have every car but 6 so name a car that will give me an enjoyable race without being stupidly easy but I want a guaranteed win.

So far I have considered: Castrol Supra, RX-7 LM, Toyota GT1 Race car and Spoon S2000 race car. I chose these because I dont have many Miles on them and I want to experience every car.

well, I'm currently using Castrol Supra to complete some of pro championships and like many other JGTC cars, it feels great.

This may be a bit late, but you should not have a problem with the RX-7 LM car. In fact, anyone of these car should guarantee a win. The Spoon S2000 maybe the toughest race to win, and the Toyota GT1 is overkill. THe Castrol Supra, and the RX-7LM should be fun to race with.

Check in teh Write-ups and read the Gran Valley 300km write-up to get an idea of what times you need to hit to win. As long as you can run the average lap that is posted, you can wineasily.

In fact, this is The Write-up

I used... the Nissan R390 GT1 Race Car i think. (yeah i know, but i wanted to finish the game)

well, there's the Escudo.

but who wants to use that thing?
i'd definitely go with one of the JGTC Supras or GT-Rs, or perhaps the ever-underestimated S2000 LM Race Car?

I am starting right now at 5:28 Eastern Time. Sept 23. I am using the Impreza LM race car with No mods except for slick tires. Out of the possible bonus cars, the only one I dont have is the Nissan R390 GT1 Road Car. Wish me luck that I win it.

Ok it is now 7:42 PM Eastern and I have just completed the Grand Valley 300KM endurance with my Yellow Impreza LM Race Car. It took me 1:51:27 I had no mods except for T2's. I won a Pink F090/S which is identical to one that I won on Super Speedway endurance a few months ago! Bittersweet victory, although an F1 is certainly better than another Spoon S2000 Race Car or another Impreza LM!!!

the best recommended car i would suggest to u is the ZZ2, it storms just about any track and car on the game. ;)

I'm currently running the Grand Valley Endurance to get the Spoon S2000 racer. Ha! I'm using the S2000 LM with oil change and medium softs putting me at 4 lap pit cycle and about 4 seconds per lap faster than the competition. I think I'm going to end up lapping 2nd place on the last two or three laps. Assuming I don't get the Spoon S2000 on this one, are there suggestions for an alternative car choice? I'm going to keep running it until I get the dang thing. I must have sold my Spoon S2000 from Amature Stars and Stripes.

I used a stock Raybrig NSX on T4s with an 8-lap pit cycle, lapping the Mugen NSX and the Denso Supra and putting the Tom's Supra and Pennzoil GT-R down 2 and the Calsonic down 3.

Fastest lap was 1':48.low" and total ET was 1h:53':43.low". A pleasant race, but I could have done it in something less.

At least you didn't post a recommendation for 12sec Civic....
;)

Raybrig ... I don't know that I have that either ... BLAST! Something else to put on the shopping list.

I'm now eyeing the Razo Silvia, as UB57 ran it at Tokyo with interesting results.

Raybrig, Arta, Mugen; all the JGTC NSXs are basically the same, and all area apleasure to drive at Grand Valley.

Yeah, it was kind of interesting. In my testing I setup various street S2000s and NSXs. I liked a yellow NSX Type R (was it R ... ?) but it was just too loose. The interesting thing was a couple races I started had all three NSXs from the JGTC group. So I had four NSXs running, a Skyline and a Supra pretty regular. Fun stuff.

I feel your pain. I'll be trying out 4wd Skylines in the near future.

C-West Razo Silvia ... less than a lap victory, but I was still plenty ahead of second place to make it mostly boring. I'll put my results into a new thread.

I'd try a GT-One road or race car with no engine mods.

If you really want a Cahllenge, try a standard JGTC car, but winning'll be stupidly hard and tyre choice will be critical.

I think I would absolutely kill the competition in a GT-One. And I don't know that it'd be all that much closer in a big JGTC. The Calsonic has been mentioned before. Perhaps I'll take it to the track to see what I get.

I Must agree! 👍
:D We ran this Race as the "Finale" to my Diablo Series & we had to run 100HP LESS than the "Stock" JGTC Cars to make for a close race. Any "Out of the Box" JGTC Sr. will be More than enough & the GT1 Road Car will "Murder' 'em!!! JMO...UB57 :D
