Graphical damage GT4

I was trying to imagine what GT4 would be like when it comes out ..
And i thought what about (damage Simulator) like you would see in Toca touring cars or games along those lines ..

I know most of the cars in the GT series i would not like to scratch or lose bumpers .windsreens etc ..
But there is a few cars i would like to smash up maybes the Alto works jobbie :D there could even be a bonus race when you complete most of the game
Destrution derby type thingy where you can take your least favorite cars and total them :D

But seriously a damage sim would bring that little bit more realisim to what is allready the best driving game on the planet

And also be much more of a challenge to get round the track unscathed which most of us here are more than capbable of doing

What do you think
 
I'd say no no, because I would not like my cars to be in pieces, which they would be if there was damage. I think that they should put NOS and stuff in it!

i think that addin nos to the cars would be a great addition :p
 
yeah, i do happen to slam into other cars when going around a curve to cut them off :D
but i also occasionally smack into the wall :banghead: so i'm thinking damage might not be that great of an idea since my car would be totaled after about 2 laps. i think adding nos is a great idea though. and how about the addition of body kits like in tokyo extreme. i thought that was a great addition to that game; it's a great feeling being able to totally customize your car. and now that i think about it. you should be able to give your car a new paint job. anyone wanna crizticize my suggestions or add to them??
 
Why don't you guys just buy Tokyo Extreme Racer Zero and be done with it?

GT3/4 has a place and a purpose that doesn't include NAAAWWWWS, big 'rims', and stick-on plastic bits. If you're trying to play The Fast and the Spurious, there are already games that do that. Why not get one?

because i want the realism of gt3, the awesome graphics, and the depth. i've already played tokyo extreme many times, but still find myself coming back to gt3 every time wanting more. and this isn't about jumping on the fast and the furious band wagon. i've been into cars way before that came out.
 
all i think they are trying to say is that they would like the better things of other games included in this being the best of all games seeing that it would make the game even more superior. i feel that NOS and other things like body kits should be added also, but also at the same time if you dont want these features dont sit here and complain about then just dont use them instead of shunning them
 
The problem is, the game is not going to be everything. If they waste time developing things like nitrous (nitrous, not NOS), body kits, etc. that do not fit the intent of GT, then that is time they could have spent elsewhere making the graphics better or modelling another few cars or improving the lousy AI.

THAT's why I'm bitter about it. GT is about BEING fast, not LOOKING fast.

neon_duke...i kinda agree with you but I know you would like to take a Skyline R34 and put a nice fat spoiler on it. But when it comes to NOS(Nitrous) I think thats not a good idea...i mean whats the point? one quick boost and thats it...how can that help ya unless your on the last straight and are losing but a few car lengths. Thats just my opinion. Body Kits etc = woohoo :D NOS= No No
 
The car companies don't want thier cars looking wrecked, so Polyphony can't have damage. I'd love to have damage cause it would add realism to GT, however: Nitrus, body kits, and other crap ARE NOT to be in GT. Now, I would like to see factory kits, like say you have a Miata, you go to the parts store and buy the actual Mazda kit for it. That is good, but buying aftermarket garbage is just dumb and wastes time for GT.

Like Neon said, Go play TXR0 and don't contaminate GT with that stuff.

All this talk of body kits etc has just reminded me of this site http://www.thejackytouch.com check it out if you want to see some really stupid cars

got to the section (jacky du mois) the web pages are in french here you will find stupid cars of the month

I wouldn't mind having body kits in the game but i would like to see nos if there was a drag racing mode and damage would make the game the most realistic game ever.

Ok, body kits, i'd love to see those.

However, It just so happens that my dad is a 7-year GM Master Tech. Now, he says that Nitrous Oxide would blow a engine up and them high RPM's..so..I don't know about y'all, but I don't want my F090's exploding when I'm in the lead :D

BTW i think NOS was used for Bombers during the war.. something to do with range or something
 
Optional NOS on an Airport Runway Track would keep the StreetRacers of the World happy and the rest of us can just go on the Tracks? :curvyrd:
