This is the big draw for the Greatest Motorcycle Ever Contest. I will provide links to the threads containing the match ups. Those that were nominated by you will go against each other (with the exception of the Triumph Bonneville v the Bimota Tesi).

So, that's the draw for the contest. I really tried to match up opponents that had seemingly equal cc's mostly, but some match ups I based around power equality while others I based around history.
 
Would an NC30 not be better going up against something like the XX400R rather than an oval pistoned 750?

Anyway whats the point RC30 wins!
 
No offence but I feel your polling system is a little flawed. Wouldn’t this work better if you would have separated the bikes into their actual categories such as sports, cruiser, enduro, motorcross etc and then held a poll for each category?

Looking at the bikes you are comparing, some are just really odd comparisons. Rocket III against Hayabusa? Bimota SB2 against FLHT? The Blackbird which is a 96 first production against the ‘81 Katana? I could go on, but I think I make my point.

Also what happens after this? Do the winners then square off with each other again?
 
Yeah, I didn't anticipate elimination rounds. let's see, the weekend drags at Ultra-Dragway in Podunk, Ohio: 1937 Model A vs. '09 ZR-1, heads-up straight race. Then a '79 Crown Vic against a Cobra 427.

Completely invalid comparisons matched at random from a pool of good potential partners.

I was looking for discussion of the merits of many bikes, why they're great, why they're not. Pairing them up at random and the "winner" moves on is just goofy.

I'm out.
