"Greece unblocked a subsidy of 28.9 million euros ($37.2 million) for the construction of an international-standard racetrack that can be used for staging Formula One car racing", the Ministry of Development said.

Well I guess this isn't the best way to spend their EU bailout money 💡

But I do wonder what sort of return they will get and if it will be enough.

There's already a thread for discussion of new circuits/races here.

Quote from Daan:
"If you wish to discuss Greece's new circuit then that can be done in a new thread."

So I did.

I'm aware of that, but conversation regarding the proposed Greece gp has been going on for some time in the thread that I linked. Moderators are human at the end of the day. Perhaps he just forgot about the other thread.

maSonn09, perhaps you should consider doing a search before creating any new threads in the future.

Will they name the corners of the track after all the European politicians who have sent them money?

!

"The short and sharp left hander that is Verhofstadt leads into the long and fast, yet tricky and slippery Merkel."

Or perhaps I never knew it was being discussed in there.

Can you added Greece to the title, like all the other races, then it would have been easier to find/see. Perhaps it should be renamed to "New F1 tracks thread: Now includes name of latest country that wants to host a GP"
