Hello, checking in from Detroit. Long time lurker, first time poster.
I have been playing Gran Turismo since about 2002, when I purchased Gran Turismo 2 for the PSOne. (Which I still have). I now have GT5 where I am a level 27 A Spec and a level 24 B Spec. It has gotten to the point, however, that I spend most of my time online. I have a variety of cars, but the two I like to use most is my red 2010 Challenger named "Miss Scarlett" and my teal Chevrolet Corvette C6 ZR1 I named "Aqua Velva", both of which are bone stock except for their tires. (BTW, my PSN id is "runfromcheney" if you are ever up to a race). I am pretty good on just about every track and any car, given my experience, but I will admit that my weakness is the Nurmburgring. I am OK driving it by myself, but put my in a really high powered car and/or with other cars on the track, then I am really shaky and I do get overwhelmed pretty quick. The fastest car I have taken around the Nurmburgring in a completely clean lap is "Aqua Velva", my Corvette ZR1. In fact, I raced a kid online with a Red Bull X1 in a four lap race around the 'Ring at dusk with "Aqua Velva" and beat him by four seconds, but I think that had more to do with the fact that the kid was an X1 was a pompous idiot that literally crashed in every single turn, then later claimed that he gave me a five minute head start after I won.
Anyways, I look forward to being here, and I don't know what else to share. I plan on a career in product planning/management for one of the automakers and I am currently knocking out my prerequisites with plans to enroll in a school of business in January 2012. I live in a crappy suburb of Detroit that is the dictionary definition of urban sprawl. I drive a worn out Dodge Caravan. I have a crush on Scarlett Johansson. I like to listen to 80s power ballads and podcasts while I race. I am a lifelong Green Bay Packers fan.
I do know quite a bit about the GTs but I am also looking forward to learning a lot more as well. See you out on the track.
