I think the solution to the problem is as simple as PD offering more bonus races online with high payouts. This would keep the anti-grinders happy, yet at the same time, the grinders can keep on grinding. What do you think?

Please, only constructive comments.

That's way too easy of an answer. They'd never go for it!

Seriously, that'd work just fine.

They'd have to be 10,000,000 Cr. each and repeatable to make the grinders happy. They'd also have to be able to do them while sleeping/at work.

Well, nothing will make them happy. However, I don't think that huge payouts would be unfair.

Just allow us to win prize cars again and to be able to sell race cars.

You know, the way GT has always been?

No, thats way to much for payouts. I was thinking around 1 to 2 million at most. Yet, at the same time increase the number of bonus races and maybe make them more technical, so that it's still a challenge. Different tracks and different opponents(maybe even harder opponents), help to break up the grinding.

As far as the grinders, they already have their race; Indy, American Championship.

True that, But, GT has changed over the years.

Money isn't important, gaining a substantial amount of XP is what matters for me.

Good point. A generous amout of XP points relative to the technical difficulty of the track?

DCC or Like the Wind Indy are better.

DCC or Like the Wind Indy are better.

Usually the payouts for current bonus game are a lot more than like the wind, about 1 million per race. I'm just saying we need more of the bonus races, instead of once every 2 weeks as it is. Say, maybe every week or more which would eliminate the need for grinding in like the wind or the American championship Indy.

Honestly bringing back the winning of some cars makes the game much less painful.

I mean I'd love to have a bunch of nice 0 miles cars.

Ofc that would make them less rare, but even then, at least you could sell em.

This wouldn't work for the grinders. They would say the game is now ez mode and you don't need to put in any effort.

Trust me, it's impossible to satisfy everyone.

DCC Indy 10-lapper, a rubber band, a USB keyboard, and a borrowed X2010.

Do the X2010 on a "friend" account (either an actual friend, a sub account, a family member, etc.) after it's all refreshed and oil changed, then "borrow" it on your main account and rubber-band grind to your heart's content. The mileage won't show up on the car (you'll still get your 1000 tickets, though), the performance won't degrade, and you get to keep the money.

I suggest DCC because the XP payout is greater and the cars are more "beatable" with the grind.

I tested this out on the Like the wIndy 5-lapper, and the borrowed X2010 just isn't as fast as a "real" one, consistently hitting only around 230 on the straights, and consistently coming in around 7th to 9th place! :( It's weird, because the same car on the original account would rocket up to 270 on the straights. And I checked and checked - it wasn't grinding the wall too hard; it was rubbing the wall about as lightly as it could without heading for the infield coming out of turns 2 and 4. Weird...

For the vast majority of my rubber-band grinding, though, I just use my "main" X2010.

So true. Doesn't matter what the change will be, there will be detractors.

Upping the payouts for online bonus races only helps the people who are online, and there are lots of GT5 players who would never see that content.

I think the solution would be for PD to calculate the total cost of all the cars in the game, and structure the total payouts for all offline content to equal roughly 50%. This way, it takes two complete run-throughs of the entire game to get every available car. It would then take more than two complete run-throughs if you're buying a lot of tuning parts. Running through the game twice or even three times is not an unreasonable amount of grinding to get every car that's on the original GT5 disk.

How about they do some new seasonal events in which you gain 500 Million Prize money and 999999999XP points, with an X1 as the prize car. The races should also be repeatable so that you can win unlimited X1's in 500 Million different colours.

This way you can level up to level 40 and buy all the cars in the game in no time.

That would just be so super awseome and you would feel sooooooo cool for doing so well in the game! Come on PD, do it for the fans...

This idea was not meant for the grinders. It was meant for those who hate the mind numbing grinding around the same track. Grinders will always grind no matter what.

The idea is to give more of a payout for the online bonus races, so the inti-grinders can gain a respectable amount of money and XP to attain the expensive cars they want to get, but at the same time don't make the bonus races easy, so that it's still a challenge to get the high payout; say, on highly technical courses and harder opponents/cars.

and if, PD can't make more bonus races per 2 week period, then increase the payouts to 3-4 million.

and believe me, the grinders WILL like the high payouts too. If they don't, then they're idiots.

my point exactly.
If you like "playing" a game with a rubber band, great! good for you.

for the vast majority of us that don't, grinding sucks and thats not what we call racing and, we did not buy the game to attach rubber bands to our controllers.

Grinding does suck but the higher level races just pay too low.

Why do I get 97,600cr for a five lap race at Indy, but only 44,000 for 60 laps at Grand Valley?

Exactly. I don't think "like" comes into it; it's just another way to get around the suckage that is grinding.

Then, if there was a way to play the game AND not have to grind AND like it, wouldn't that be nice. I think my idea is the solution to grinding and a better way around the suckage.

If PD were to do that, they better raise the 20 million cr. limit first.

True. By NO means am I trying to say make the game easy to get money. PD needs to make a reasonable amount of achievment possible for the average GT player, and then they would have A LOT of happy customers, not just the minority of GT players.
