Group 2 Cars .. GT Sport NASCAR equivalent?

If you were to try to duplicate a NASCAR race, perhaps Group 2 cars on the ovals would be a fair equivalent?

But I can't bring myself to accept that an Audi R8 LMS is a NASCAR Equivalent.

I'd like to think Audi is above that

What? No no no no no.

Gr2 has way too much downforce.

Gr3 is closer but, still isn't the best match. The Gr3 road cars may be better suited for that.

I do wish we could get Chevy and Ford NASCAR's and Mercedes and Ferrari F1 cars. I know we have the 80's F1 Car, but let's face it, that's not even close to what they drive these days.

And yes, I know those 2 kinds are cars don't necessarily fit the "GTS" model, but does a Fiat from the late 60's and a Ford F1 Raptor really fit as well?

I think stock cars fit the GTS model very well. It can be it's own car class.

Hell they have multiple oval tracks including one clearly inspired by Bristol. It begs for a Stock Car.

This is the best ever excuse for PD to include NASCAR in a GT game.

As far as down force goes.. They haven't had anywhere near the downforce as gr2 in years... So closer to gr3 IMO. Just like GTE/GTLM I wish they had their own class.

Something like the Mustang Gr.4 if you can get power up over 600bhp. Gr.3 has too much downforce and an advanced chassis.

One of the Sema concept cars with race tyres may also be a good option.

I feel the answer you are looking for is more in reference to "the real driving simulator" equivalent. Which, for that response, I'm not sure what I consider closest.

But for now, the closest thing with the current lineup of cars and daily races in the game, it's definitely when it is the Gr. 3 class Daily Race B at Northern Isle with the Mercedes AMG '16.

Yeah, you can run into a bunch of dirty drivers there, but that can happen on any track plus it's short track racing, which doesnt make it more acceptable, but at least more expected. And the cockpit view with the roll cage makes it look ok.

I know I'm in the minority, but it is easily one of my favorite car/race daily combos. And if you do up your liveries up right, the race and replays can come out awesome.

I don’t know how possible that is in GTS (haven’t played with the performance sliders in any Gr. class cars yet), but if most Gr. 4s can’t hit similar power levels with maximum modifications then the Gr. 3 road cars may be your best bet - most of them have their spoilers removed. Mustang and Mazda Atenza are coming to mind.

They can get pretty high in power too with mods.

Oh please don't get my hopes up LOL , But I really really hope so.

I know we already have one with the F1 from a few months ago, but that's 80's old school, which I'm OK with, but I would like a modern one.
