A Group C sports car race will be held at the 2013 Le Mans Circuit this coming Saturday, April 26 at 9PM GMT (that's 5PM Eastern USA) to celebrate one of the golden eras of motorpsort. The event will be set-up to be realistic and challenging. All are welcome but unsportsmanlike conduct will not be tolerated.
Details are as follows:
  • Eligible Cars: Jaguar XJR-9, Mazda 787B, Mazda 787B (stealth model), Nissan R89C, Nissan R92CP, Peugeot 905, Sauber Mercedes C9 and Toyota 88CV.
  • Car modifications and tuning allowed, with maximum PP of 695.
  • 2013 Le Mans circuit (with chicanes).
  • Weather will be moderately variable.
  • Time / tyre wear / fuel consumption will be accelerated to make a pit-stop or 2 necessary.
  • The race will start in daylight and finish in darkness.
  • 30 minutes practice, 15 minutes qualifying followed by a race of ~1 hour (18 laps).
  • Car damage / penalties will be on.
  • ABS will be the only driver assist allowed.
  • Results will be posted on this forum.
  • Practice will start at 9PM GMT (that's 5PM Eastern USA).
If you would like to race, please reply with your gamertag and the details of your car choice and then send me a friend request. Drivers are encouraged to choose a car such that there is a variety of different cars in the field and minimal duplicates, but this is not mandatory.
