Group of Drifters on Online Race Events

I was racing online last night and noticed 5 cars go into turn one sideways, all together. I then started to follow the group. These guys, 2 in particular were good. Drifting the whole course in unison. Unfortunatly my setup was in Race spec not drifting, so I just followed the group from a safe distance. One guy had a GTP tag. I thought this was pretty cool and looked like a lot of fun. If others out there have seen this or would like to try it that would be sweet.

P.S. using the DFP to drift has given me some problems, I can't turn the wheel fast enough to the lock when counter steering the drift. any answers?
 
I wish they would make online drift events, so that they could enter those. The drifters annoy me while I am racing, to be honest. Sucks entering a race with 4 other people, only to find they are all drifting, leaving me with no one to race. And no option to leave, other then quiting the game.

It was larger problem before the RBE was removed. If you ended up with a grid full of drifters your race times suffered and the RBE was massive. Now that that is gone it's simply annoying, but causes no real harm to a race.

I've seen some groups of drifters with the decency to pull off the track when the leaders come by, but far too many don't do that. Though to be fair, if it is a close race the people you are racing need to deal with them too, the ghosted cars and smoke, et. al.

Which region did you see the drifters?

NTSC I take it? as there is only a few PAL drifters...

JPN dont count, they are born to drift :lol:
 
Want to hear something funny ? I have seen this before , and some of the drifters were faster than some of the people actually trying to race , they actually finished ahead of the racers. :lol:

I do feel that they should have drift events for these guys though , it really does not bother me , from what I've seen , they are courteous and bail out of the way of racers , I give them a 👍👍👍
