GT Academy available in Australia?

G'day All,

Am I missing something? I've seen the news articles about GT Academy now being available in most countries but I can't find it in the Play Station Store or through the Game itself here in Australia.

Are we able to get it or not?

Yup, Australia's able to download it. I have no idea why you can't find it though. Did you use the search in the PS Store?

Didn't do a search, I've just been looking through all the different categories to try and find it (I thought is was supposed to be in the "demos" section).

I'll have another go.

Just tried searching for both "gt Academy" and "Gran Tourismo", the closest result I get is the GT Academy 2010 trailer. That's all.

You don't have to register until round 7. I don't know how to register though since I can't anyway.

@woggy, if you really want to play the demo in AU, follow these steps:

1) Create a USA (or other country that has access to GTA) PSN account (the details can be fake, just make sure the city/state/postal code match up, just google the details for any major (US) city).

2) Log into that account, find it in the store, start the download, and log into your main (AU) account.

3) Once the download completes (you should still be on your main account), install as usual.

4) Launch the demo and have fun!

BUT then I don't think you'd be able to get the winnable cars onto your main account.

it still lets you play with your aussie account though, its exactly the same unless you somehow manage to be in the top however many you wont get to go anywhere further.
it also keeps tallys which country has the most gold medal times around the world australia needs you we are ranking pretty far down the list.

SO then my guess is you'll be able to use the winnable cars on your main account if you run/play the demo on your main account.

I can't seem to find it either. I am in Melbourne? Any ideas please would be helpful
 
As described above, I created a US account , found it in the US Playstation store, downloaded it then installed it with my regular account.

This worked fine and I'm all caught up and ready for the next round.
