Tried this series using P01. First few races were a piece of piss, but when I hit the Test Track, I got my butt handed to me on a silver plate! Why?
Just couldn't keep up with Toyota GT1 and the Nissan R390 GT1 on top speed.

I tried adjusting the gears but the engine didn't seem to have the torque to pull past about 14000rpm in top.

Any ideas?

ps. yeah I know It's too much car for this series but I only won it a week ago and I'va already put over 2000km on her.
mmmmmmmmmm........

Take off the wings...

With so much DF - and a very, very poor Cd (as with all open wheeled cars) - the P001 is as aerodynamic as a small office building.

Even with that, the P001 won't pull much past 230mph. You'd be best served using the Oreca Viper for this series, or a full-on 787B. The Oreca will wail past 400km/h easily. The 787B is a great drive, but may get a bit tiresome on the Oval... :D

Well I'm trying to get the 787B by getting to 75%, at the mo' I'm hitting the enduros to get there. Which brings me to another question:

What's the story with the roadster one, is it round the S Speedway in an MX5 or something?

Any tips?
And how bloody long will it take?:banghead:

Roadster Race is 40 laps of Apricot Hill, only STOCK MX-5s allowed (with tyre changes).

Best one to take is the 1998 MX-5 1.8RS with 160hp (after oil change) wearing T4s front, T5s rear. You'll get about 10 laps off these tyres - 3 lots of pit stops - and it'll take you 1 hour and 8 minutes, roughly.

Don't bother about the MX-5 that vanishes into the distance - he's on T7s and pits every 2 laps. Even so it's possible to out-qualify him and stick with him for his first stint.

Yep, good game-plan! Deffinitly works...

I remeber slapping on the tires with the hardest compound and only needing to pit ones. The race isn't that bad at all if you manage not to fall asleep when driving at those astonishingly high speedz.

grtz

lol.

I did that series, and I was "lucky" enough to get the f688/s, but I'm not gonna bore you with my blasphemy about picking your cars on the prize car wheel.

Eh... it probably was luck.
And the f094/h too.
Not to mention the f094/s.
